Oihan Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 I woke up this morning listening to Hiroko Kasahara's "Anata o kanjite-iru - Mia Santi Ren" and I just couldn't get enough of the a cappella this morning. I love her voice and that a cappella. Anyway, I started thinking about what she was saying...and noted that I had not a damn clue. I have no clue where I could look for a translation of the lyrics or where to even find the lyrics. So here I am hoping someone on this board could kindly help me out. To those that have no clue who she is, she's Ishtar's seiyuu. The song can be found on the Macross II OST Vol. 2 CD, track 17 (iirc). Thanks. Quote
polidread Posted August 27, 2005 Posted August 27, 2005 she must have been singing in Zentraedi ? Quote

ericf Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 (edited) While this is an old thread, I'd like to know if anyone has tried to write down the lyrics in romaji. She does sing in Japanese so if you know Japanese it would be no big problem. I don't and since I wanted to include those lyrics in the Macross II episode 5 subtitles that I'm preparing for the R2 DVD (If I can get it) I'd be most grateful if someone with some Japanese knowledge gave it a try. Mabye even try a transltion? The song is on the Macross II: Lovers Again soundtrack available at macrosshare.blogspot.com. Here is an mp4 version of the song: http://81.25.54.104/music/Macross/Mari%20I...antis%20Ren.mp4 Thanks. ericf Here is an attempt at romaji: watashi no koi wa oruko oru yo kokoro no futa wo dochi te anata ni amu to kakushite iru yoku keno hitori goto wo naze anata ga kanno joron da mae guchi nishi tadake de mou daikirai na ute omou no kashira nami utsu mune ga kanate ru no wa namida ga mo eru oto Edited September 23, 2009 by ericf Quote

lynn2009 Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 I remember listening to this song a lot when I was younger. Definitely a favorite Macross song. Here are the lyrics and translation for the song: Watashi no koi wa orugo-ru yo (My love is a music box) Kokoro no futa wo tojite (Close the lid of my heart) Anata ni au to kakushiteiru (When I see you, I'm hiding) Yofuke no hitorigoto wo (the things I say to myself late at night) Naze anata wa kanojo no namae kuchi ni shita dakede (Why is it that when you just say her name) Mou daikirai nante omou no kashira? (I think I hate you so much?) Namiutsu mune ga kanaderu no wa (My fast pounding heart plays) Namida ga moeru oto (the fiery sound of tears) Hizashi wo abite sunao ni naretara (Bathing in the sun, if I could be myself) Anata ni iitai (I want to tell you) Yasashiku iitai (I want to tell you softly) "Mia Sentesu Ren" (Marduk: I can feel you) **Kimochi ga fukaku katamuku hodo (The deeper my feelings wane) Hohoemi sae mo kowai** (These two lines appear in the liner notes, but do not actually appear in the song) (I'm even afraid to smile) Kizuiteiruno? Anata ga ima (Do you realize? Right now, you) Watashi no subete nanoyo (are my everything) Nee konomama aruiteyukeba (Say, if we could walk like this) Puratanasu no michi (A street of Platanus) Hora komorebi no naka de mimi wo sumashite (See, if you listen closely within the sunlight that shines through the trees) Watashi no koi wa orugo-ru yo (My love is a music box) Kokoro no futa wo akete (Open the lid of my heart) Sonote ni dakare kanadetai no (Held in your hands, I want to play) "Anata wo kanjiteiru" ("I can feel you") Enjoy! I guess I can read Japanese better than I can hear it...and even then I can't read it all too well, haha. >_< Thanks again! Cheers! Edit: Linear notes, eh? I never thunk to look at the booklet after all these years. I need to go take a look at it...if I could only remember the safe place I keep it at. Edited October 26, 2009 by Oihan Quote
