But then again I had the luck of going to Mandarake Torrance before they moved then closed, and also being able to visit the Mandarake stores in Tokyo. Tokyo was so cool, makes me not feel like going to the AX dealers room.

Updated cels. It's been slow for a while, a lot of good cels have been snapped up at most online cel shops and it's pretty much a wait and see attitude on eBay or Yahoo Japan these days.

Well, since I haven't bought any new Macross items as of late I think I'd resurrect this thread by adding my last acquisition of cels from Gundam: 0080 War in the Pocket. Once cel is of the hard to find MS-18E Kampfer enemy cel and also I finally have a cel of one of the stars, Bernard "Bernie" Wiseman the Zaku pilot. I've seen this cel of Bernie on Rubberslug from one of my fellow members there and liked it a lot since it's from the pivotal moment at the end of the series when Bernie videos his last will/message before he goes off to fight his last battle.

Just went to Anime Expo on Saturday and picked up a Roy Focker VF-1S cel from DYRL with him gunning down a regult. There was one closer shot of just the VF-1S that I was looking at, but when I came back to the Anime-Link booth someone bought that version. So which of you Macross Worlders was it?????

Just came across this thread as well. I have been collecting for about a year and a half and managed to collect about 50 cels, all from Macross TV series, Macross DYRL and Macross Flashback 2012. For some of them, I shelled out over $3K.

Welcome to the thread valkyrie13, I know of only a few hard-core cel collectors on MW, but the collection you have there is top-notch. Your cel of the Hikaru VF-1S and Misa I saw for sale previously on another site (or from the same scene but another frame) but was too expensive for me and that Flashback cel is real nice. Looking forward to seeing your other cels.

I've picked up a few Macross Cels here and there but I couldn't believe I came across this one. The other two were ones off YJP not really sure why I bid on them guess it was just the bidding bug, still Minmay getting slapped is a keeper.

I guess the battle for the remaining Macross cels out there is between you and fellow MW member, Mokman, since he was the previous person I knew was on the hunt on eBay and Yahoo!Japan. Most cels I've been seeing on Rubberslug popping up from the series it looks like have been purchased through private collections since a lot of the online shops I previously bought from are mostly out of stock on the good cels.

Thanks, Mokman. Been to your site as well as per baronv's suggestion and was impressed by your collection. Are the colored sketches, the originals drawn by Kawamori Shoji? It was being offered a while ago by a private dealer.

By the way, yes, the scene you see is from Flashback 2012. I have an original DVD released in Japan and it's in the beginning of the footage right before Minmay starts singing verse 2 of "Tenshi no E no Gu" which was not included in the DYRL movie. You might not have recognized it since it came with an unmatching background. That's the scene where Hikaru hands her the microphone and Misa show up next to her to throw an holographic costume over her. Unfortunately, I don't have the stuff to do a screen capture.. if someone else can do it, that would be great.

Just won a couple of cels from Yahoo Japan which I previously did not own which I will share when I get them shipped to me.

Hmm... I don't know, you probably missed the frame since it's very short. Try this Youtube site.
