I spotted them at the National Air & Space Museum Annex. Sorry for the low quality, took the picture on my phone. Edited August 3, 2010 by Horatio Positronic Quote

jenius Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I think I've owned one of just about each 1/55 toy at some point. Quote
myk Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 My first Macross toy was a '55 Takatoku VF-1S, bought by my mom in '87 and I still got it... Quote
kanedaestes Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 So i think izzy means no he never has owned one lol Quote
Mommar Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 It would probably be more prudent to ask who DOESN'T have one around these parts. Quote
takatoys Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 (edited) That picture looks like a toys store shelf from the 80s. Great memories. I could not afford a Takatoku in the 80s and it was even more expensive in the late 90s. Hopefully Bandai reissued most of the 1/55 line and now I am a happy camper. But still want to buy an original Takatoku Valkyrie. Nothing beats the great packaging and artwork of the 80s. Edited November 5, 2011 by takatoys Quote
eugimon Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 I have an old beat up g1 jetfire from when I was a kid but that's as close as I come. I haven't wanted one since the v1 1/60 vf-1 came out and I haven't looked back. Quote
AcroRay Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Lots - big & little, diecast or plastic or vinyl, Macross and Orguss and Dorvack & others... Quote
Graham Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Heh, I think asking that question on this website is a little like asking fish is they swim. Probably easier to ask who hasn't owned a Takatoku.............LOL! Graham I'm somewhat disturbed by the bottom shelf though, somehow it err, doesn't quitre match! Graham Quote
alchemo Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 (edited) Me, I havn't It was until the Yamato 1/48 and 1/60 Ver.2 that I started buying per-assembled VFs It's a new horizon after the 1/48 Yammies Edited November 7, 2011 by alchemo Quote
mqvu Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 The Takatoku Macross toys bring back lots of fond memories & I've been able to get a few of them. But yea, I agree w/ alchemo - the yamato 1/60 version 2.0+ VFs were what really got me to expand my collection Quote
drkstar00 Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Lol, well if you don't own one... you SHOULD! Quote
Reïvaj Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 Nah, I guess it’s too late for me. I’m sure I would’ve loved to have one of these some twenty years ago or so though… Quote
drkstar00 Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 ... for me to drool over. I find the term 'chunky monkey' derogatory, considerimg I think these toys are top-notch, and think they are very appealing aesthetically. Lol - but that's just moi. Quote
