valkyrie312 Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 I definitely need one of those "1/48" style JMs (seeing as though I love the original BanDai ones). Sign me up! Quote
mechatek Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Hey Nick, that's Jason C in the group pic, not mechatek. Only my forehead came out in that pic. I should've been standing next to Shawn. Quote
EXO Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 Nick I'm gonna borrow your pics for Robs ultimate JM for the other thread. Quote

nightmareB4macross Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 according to Rohby the seat is not supposed to be that far back. Its just there cause it isnt glued down. oh the pilot's head will be able to turn If you didn't happen to notice it the first time... look closely at the cockpit and you will notice Rhoby also made control handles (the other fell off during transformation). Plus the canopy is completely vacu-formed. It is trully amazing what Rohby can create, he is a god among men. Quote
kidkorrupt Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 nightmare, forget god among men..you are cake-god among men. im kind of pissed off that i was too busy guarding the upstairs to be able to get a bite of that cake. nick, is it in lisa's refrig right now? haha, im surprised no one posted a picture of all of nick's pool girlfriends. nightmareB4macross Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Hey Kid, What's up? When I get home I'll send you pic of the 1/55 retracting hands and covers I had mentioned to you about (still work in progress). Thanks for the compliment about my SKILLZ. Seriously, though I would like to create something that will blow all customs away at the next Con contest. And also introduce my 1/55 / 1/48 fully articulated hands. Hopefully I can finish this project really soon. Quote

From certain angles he looks cute as hell, but turned slightly to the right in that pic, he looks seriously PISSED that he's sitting on my shoulder instead of Mylene's. Quote

Mechamaniac Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Here's one of the d00d that makes the Neon signs on Ebay... Quote
Mechamaniac Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 Shortly after this, EXO warned me that if I was caught with my camera, they would chuck me out since alot of that stuff is grey market, so I put it away. Next place we went was Kinokuniya bookstore, where I snagged my copy of Tenjin's Valk Book... Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted June 23, 2005 Posted June 23, 2005 wow!! you were able to take some pictures in F&S huh? They don't normally allow that. They usually escort you back to your car to drop off the camera and let you off with a warning. Saw it happen a couple of times. hehe Quote

Exactly one year ago i was down there to attend the Transformers convention "BotCon" in Pasadena. While i was there i visited Frank n Sons, and it was awesome! I was filming inside with my video camera for about 20 minutes or so when a guy comes up to tell me to put away the camera. I thought hw was playing around and i told him "yeah right!". He then told me, that he was head of security and the place was private property and there was no filming allowed without permission from the owner. So he escorted my ass back to my truck and made me put the camera away. Wow they were strict about that rule and caught me off guard! Well now i know, at least i got some footage before they caught me, LOL!! Quote

MechaVegeta Posted July 14, 2005 Posted July 14, 2005 (edited) Just want to express my sincerest gratitude to everyone who helped make this con happen, as well as to mechamaniac for dragging my ass along on this adventure. And a special thanks to Nick and EXO, for driving us around, and to everybody for making a coupla guys from Maryland feel welcome! Nice job with the screen names on the group shot, notice how I'm barely taller than Mari (just wish I was as thin as her, too! Well, maybe not that thin...). For those of you that missed it, I'm the lurker in the red Inuyasha t-shirt in many of the photos, who endured the 3000 mile trek from Baltimore just to meet Mari and hang out with some of the rest of MW! Hope to see you guys again next year; in the meantime I plan to be more active on this board, though I may change my screen name (again). Edited July 14, 2005 by MechaVegeta Quote
danth Posted July 17, 2005 Posted July 17, 2005 Okay, I have to ask two questions... 1) How the hell do you get Mari Ijima to come to your party? I imagine her time is worth something. 2) Isn't Macross over 20 years old now? That means Mari Ijima must be like 40. In those pics, she looks barely...legal. How old is she anyway? Quote

How old is she anyway? 311541[/snapback] 1) Because she is super cool, and lives locally in California. 2) She's 42, and yes, she is very beautiful, and does not look her age at all. She looked even better in person. She told us a story about a commercial she filmed where she played a daughter, and the woman who played her mother was actually younger than her. Quote
fearyaks Posted July 18, 2005 Posted July 18, 2005 Dang... I go away for a few months and MWC5 occurs. Very cool fellas! Dig the cake too! Quote
