miles316
Does any one know when the series/season two of Sara Jane Adventures will air, and will it air on Sci-Fi Chan or BBC America?
big F
Was it the Canary wharf disaster that did in Torchwood prime/London I never watched any of the Early episodes of DR Who only the Christopher and David DR Who. When did UNIT first come in to being I gather from the resent episodes of Who that the Doctor had a hand in its creation. Yeah Torchwood was kinda done for after the Canary Wharf Dalek/Cyberman incursions. (This was a David Tennant episode) Yes the Doctor did have a hand in the creation of U.N.I.T, it was a Jon Pertwee episode from the 70's. Traditionally U.N.I.T has been pro Dr Who whereas Torchwood was always a bit anti Dr Who due to them being anti alien in general. Queen Victoria was a bit miffed by his ability to just pop in when ever he saw fit, upset a few people a bit and then leave, hence her ordering the setting up of Torchwood. Knight26
Well seeing them in front of the new Tardis (which either is larger, or they are really short) really dashes my hopes that Tennant going to Comiccon was going to pull a gotcha! I was hoping that the movie they announced would star smith as, get this the original, pre-regeneration, young hartnel, and that it would be a prequel of sorts, showing how the doctor stole the Tardis/got started on his adventuring. Then, Tennant would announce that he signed for X more series, but I guess that will not be the case.
eriku
New Doctor, new companion, new Tardis and now a new Sonic Screwdriver. I realize it's a little late for me to ask, but are photos like the ones I've been posting considered 'spoliers'? Should I post links instead of the actual photo? F-ZeroOne
Some people would consider them so, yes - the earlier image you posted did appear on the BBC website, though; possibly that image of the new Doctor and new companion would be fairly safe as that image has already been seen in the general media. However, I've seen other images from the same series of photos that can be considered a major spoiler, and people can get upset about such things sometimes, so links may be safer overall. Harriet Jones was a ballsy character all right. About Jack's brother. If Jack can resurect from a small ammount of tissue and bone then Im sure his brother would do so also, so we may have not seen the last of him. The 456 use human children as drugs. From the glimpses you get looks like they were possibly grafted on to the host or carried arround and used like a sort of PEZ despenser to pop the hormones or what ever they get high on. What were the original dozen, for drug trials? So did that crazy geezer get to his Hazmat suit in time? Would Luke Smith from Sara Jane Adventures be affected? Did the old man get rejected for being overripe or was he a psychic and that is why he could Intersept the Signal? Supose they were a trial gotta have a trial before you can market drugs properly. Crazy geezer did get to his suit becase next day he was cleaning up bodies. Supose Luke wouldn't be affected as he's off the grid and not really entirely human IIRC. Old guy gets unplugged because he is getting the signal and due to him not going the first time arround is obviously wrong and a risk to them. So they get rid of him by making his brain pop. aerocombatpilot
I've just finshed watching Torchwood: Children of Earth. Its going to take five billion years for jack to make up for his Sins. However, the Doctor can only take action when he is here so if the doctor was not on earth, there is nothing he can do, and he cannot be changed the past and since Jack and Torchwood stopped 452, there is nothing to change. Why didn't UNIT contact the Doctor? And now that I think about it, doesn't UNIT usually take care of the alien threats; why even bother with Torchwood ? Torchwood was never consulted because the British government was to busily killing them, and UNIT could not find were the 452 were based, and the black guy in the tan uniform is from UNIT and he could not take action. F-ZeroOne
On reflection, I think I might have over-reacted a touch with the "OHMIGAWDZ! SPOILERS!" link to the Christmas Who special - having watched it again, theres nothing in the trailer that hasn't leaked out somewhere else over the past few weeks, and the same information is available from the BBC Who site. Unless you're those types who sits in a sealed underground vault until broadcast day, I think most of you can probably survive following that link... Not sure about picking up the Donna storyline again. Maybe that one would have been better left alone. Time will tell, I guess.. F-ZeroOne
New Who, new assistant, new producer, and now new logo! Noriko Takaya
Yes the Doctor did have a hand in the creation of U.N.I.T, it was a Jon Pertwee episode from the 70's. I kind of hate to correct you there, but the Doctor did not have a hand in the creation of UNIT. It was the deliberation of the members of the United Nations which deemed it necessary to create a military and scientific branch devoted to the investigation and repulsion of paranormal and extraterrestrial threats to the planet Earth. The one event which led to this creation was the attempted alien takeover of the city of London in the 1968 serial The Web of Fear. The second Doctor, played by Patrick Troughton. By the time the Third Doctor was exiled to Earth by the Time Lords, UNIT was already in existence as they had fought off the Cybermen (Also in 1968, with the second Doctor's help). It was then that the Doctor accepted the position of scientific advisor offered to him by Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. My screen name vauxhall3098 on Yahoo! is actually taken from the third Doctor's car Bessie. He drove a yellow Vauxhall 30/98.
taksraven
R.I.P Barry Letts One of the great Doctor Who producers has died at the age of 84. He was producer during the early 1970's and oversaw the transition from the Troughton to Pertwee era. He was much more than just a producer for the program, however, carrying out roles for the series including directing and writing as well as doing some executive producing work for the show right into the 1980's. A great talent, a fantastic contributor to Doctor Who and he will be missed. http://gallifreynewsbase.blogspot.com/2009...-1925-2009.html Taksraven Edited October 10, 2009 by taksraven

eriku
Seems like it's taken forever to get this one on the air. I wonder how long it'll take to get the End of Time on the air afterward? It's supposed to be a "Christmas Special" episode isn't it? Also, have you guys seen the pic that's been floating around of the inside of the new Tardis? Can't tell a lot from it, but it does seem to have a bit of a 'retro' look, and it looks like there may be a catwalk or second level or something in it.
