Stamen0083 Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 3.13mm is a rather odd size. I'm curious as to why you decided to use 3.13mm instead of, say, 3.0mm? Quote
captain america Posted June 1, 2005 Author Posted June 1, 2005 Hi Stamen. Umm... Cos that was the only drill bit I had handy at the time Actually, it's cos a 3mm hole would just plain be too tight to push the ball-joint pins into. This way, the hole is just a hair's breath larger than the pins, and the extra slack can easily be made-up with a bit of CA glue. The reason it's such an odd size is that it's probably a bit in an imperial measurement. I simply converted it over to metric for ease of use. Quote
Stamen0083 Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 Understandable. :-) What was the standard size, if you recall? In my experience, it is easier to find standard drill bits instead of oddball metric sizes. I've been looking for a 5.125mm drill bit for heaven knows how long. Quote
