hevangel2 Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Wow... I just watched the first eposide of Ms igLoo, a complete 3D CG movie with lots of eye candies. That's kinda interesting in seeing the early pre-MS battle from Zion's view point. It has one of the most spectacular battleship vs battleship fight! Quote
Kamineko Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 LOL, at first I had images of an ice cooler with Zeon markings . . . Damn I have to admit it looks good. Even gives me the little tinglies, like watching Macross . Quote
Major Johnathan Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Yeah, it looks pretty cool. I just can't believe how expensive the DVD's are. Is the background music any good? Quote
Father Jack Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Wow that was super cool. I've got to find a way to see this It gave me little tingles too it looks like it could be really good if there is a story beyond all those bells and whistles. Sieg Zeon Quote
Hikuro Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Now please tell me the episodes are't like lil 5 minute deals like this "trailer" was? Quote
F360° Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 The eps are all in CG and is about 27 minutes. There are time when it feels like you're playing a rpg gundam game and is just in a cut sene before the battle. I didn't really enjoy ep 1 as the ships are moving way too fast, but it was nice to see Char. But I love ep2, The desert battle with 1 mobile Tank vs a buch of Zakus is very very good. Quote
F360° Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Here's the raw BT link for ep 1 and ep 2 MS igloo ep1 raw ac3 5.1 487mb Ms igloo ep2 raw ac3 5.1 516mb Quote
wolfx Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Are these web episodes or are you guys getting from a source? Quote
F360° Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 To my knownledge those links are dvd rips. There's even a dvd iso too, but the file is too big and not worth the download time I say. Quote
wolfx Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Thanks F360. I didn't see your post 1 minute before mine. Quote
Chuey Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Thanks for the information. For those of us, who do not understand Japanese, has anyone translated them? Quote
Hikuro Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Yeah personally I'd like to see a subbie variation, but if there isn't, I can life with those BT ones provided....I'll download it when I get home tonight. Quote

Seven Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 This show is pretty damn awesome. It makes me glad that they are finally getting that there are two core Gundam audiences, the ones pre-1995 that watched UC shows (that are older and want something with more substance like Igloo) and the newer fans that watch more of the flashier stuff like Seed. The animation of the CG characters feels a bit unnatural and unsettling (especially with the first episode) but the main attraction is the mecha. The space battles are pretty damn impressive and are on the par of stuff from Legend of Galactic Heroes and Yamato 2520 (which are more on the realistic side). With the amount of detail they show each mecha and the seriousness with how they approach battles, I think this is as close to the feeling of MS Era and Sentinel Gundam that we will ever get. Quote

Seven Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I just realized why MS Igloo has the feel of stuff like MS Era, Gundam Sentinel and Char's Counterattack. Both Hajime Katoki and Yutaka Izubuchi are involved in design work on this project, with Izubuchi acting as supervisor. The director of the 0083 OAV series, Takashi Imanishi, is also director on Igloo. Izubuchi was responsible for a majority of the mecha designs in Char's Counterattack. With Gundam veterans like that on board, no wonder it's as well put together as it is. Quote
phuqueue Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Am I the only one getting a "got bad file info" error on the second ep? First one downloaded without incident, but the second torrent doesn't work for me. Quote

F360° Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 what do you mean, did you finish downloading the ep and it doesn't work,, or when you open the *.torrent file and you can't start the torrent.. I tried it again and it works. What Client are you using??? I using Bitcomet and have no problem. Quote
Hikuro Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I'm using Bittorrent but I got the same problem....it just tells me the file failed as I brought it up for download. Quote
F360° Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 you can try usinging another Client,, go here http://www.bitcomet.com/ and download their latests 5.8 version. It should work without a problem. If you don't like it just uninstall it later. Quote
phuqueue Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 BitComet does seem to be working now. I usually use BitTornado. Quote

Panon Posted May 13, 2005 Posted May 13, 2005 (edited) That was pretty damned bad. Completely soulless character animation, poorly moving mecha and battle animation, annoying characters, and overall completely uninteresting. Another crappy addition that the already dragged out UC didn't need. Edited May 13, 2005 by Panon Quote

Especialy the mecha scenes what I could understand of the plot sounded interesting, Personally I would like to see a subbed version before I make any further judgements.
