Fly4victory
Oh look, they're kids. Well the TV series was half a show.... So the movie will either be good like the opening episodes of the series or put the franchise six inches under. I just hope the movie is enough to have the models re-issued since Bandai forgot to distribute them to the US? Guess demand was not that high. Aegis!
When they say there's going to be new mechs, does it mean we ain't gonna see any more Kawamori LFOs ? Also, I wannna see TheEND in this movie too
wolfx
Btw for those who own the dvds, is it true that they re-animated the 3rd op? I remembered how dodgy the art was for that op. Is there a link on youtube or somewhere so i can see it?

Duke Togo
i started watching the series and im up ep 10.....so far there are too much talking. am i gonna see alot of mecha porn on this series? Its a story heavy series, and its an amazing story. There was plenty of action for me, but I guess it depends what you are looking for. Best representation of a relationship in anime that I've ever seen. All the characters are very well done. wolfx
It's the same on all mine. They didn't fix that on the final DVD release? Dayum. Thanks.
emajnthis
I finished watching this series about two weeks ago. Absolutely loved it, especially the first 25 or so episodes really had my attention and wanting to open the next episode with each cliffhanger. It didn't necessarily lose me in the middle, but the direction was a bit less intense i felt, and the main characters were getting a bit too whiny (which in all fairness is how real relationships are, but it doesn't make it any more entertaining). Then somewhere towards the end it got really friggin awesome and the last five episodes or so blew me away. Oddly enough this was one of the first series i didn't watch with my wife and now i regret it 'cause she would've LOVED it. It also sucks that Bandai didn't go crazy with model and toys of this stuff, it really got the shaft for solid merchandise, I would pay seriously good money for a True Form and Spec 2 Nirvash, Devil Fish, and TheEND. Duke Togo
Yeah, the first 27 episodes may be some the very best anime I've ever seen.

Mog
^^So what exactly is this? A sequel? A DYRL-style retelling of the story? A side story that somehow fits in during the timeline of the original series? Looks interesting but would like to know more info.
Bri
From what I have read on ANN it should be an alternate retelling of the series.

miles316
Are all LFO's made out of a life form like the Nirvash? Edited March 17, 2009 by miles316
wolfx
Are you forgetting DYRL, M+ and Escaflowne? M+ movie doesn't really count...i suppose. But yeah those too. Are all LFO's made out of a life form like the Nirvash? To be precise, they were all made from carcasses of Coralians. EDIT: Nirvash was special that its "carcass" had two cavities for where the cockpits will be compared to the rest that only had one. Also it was the 1st LFO to be made. Scream Man
Only just finished the series and loved it (Though Renton bursting into tears every 45 seconds got a little on my nerves.) but don't see the poitn of this film. Even the animation looks exactly the same. i don't see what this will add to the story. Guess we'll see. i also agree with togo: some of the best relationships ever in an anime. the only real shame of the series is that it doesnt show you enough of the various characters at theend. there need to be a little more resolution I thought. Bri
I doubt it will add much to the story. These movies are like a treat to the fans and to make some extra money of an existing succesfull series. I can remember an interview where Kawamori says that he likes to do an OVA or movie after a TV series. Producing a TV series is apperantly very stressful and the people who have worked on such a project tend to unwind a bit while working on an OAV or movie project after completing the series. Can't find it, but it ws some Q&A session with Kawamori and Kanno before Frontier.
Mog
Why didn't anyone here tell me about these earlier?!! NEW Bandai Nirvash Spec 2 The END Based on other figures in this Bandai Robot Damashii series, these things will probably be around 19 to 20 cm tall. And they're not model kits and do not require assembly. Credit to Toyark.com for bringing these to my attention.

Wanzerfan
The only series that I know of that had two final episodes, the second of which at least fleshed out the story a little more. (I watched the series when it was on CN's Saturday night Adult Swim block) At least the main character and Eureka get to be together. shiroikaze
The movie's pretty funky. Same characters, different situations; I don't like some of the changes. The movie didn't make too much sense to me, but then again I'm watching it raw and I started watching the series from the middle... Chiming in: Mermaid Eureka is awesome. So she and Renton were reborn at the end right? So why did she lose her memory/ability to speak? Edited July 2, 2009 by shiroikaze
