Graham Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Guys, from the November 2003 issue of Dengeki Hobby Magazine, here's pics of the K&M Macross figures due for release in October. IMO the Regult looks great, as does the non-transforming VF-1J Hikaru Battroid, but I think the transformable (by parts swapping) VF-1 figures look really sucky in battroid mode, although alright in fighter and Gerwalk. Graham Posted September 23, 2003 Author Posted September 23, 2003 And here's the pics from the November issue of Hobby Japan. Graham Quote
Dangard Ace Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Must get non-transforming Hikaru and a squadron of Regults....mmm.... B) Nice scans Graham! Quote
tom64ss Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 The transformable ones look like MPCs with those skinny legs and non-childbearing hips. The rest looks really cool. Thanks for the pics Graham. Quote
Graham Posted September 23, 2003 Author Posted September 23, 2003 And some close-up pics. Graham Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 dude the transformable ones have swappable parts NOOOOO!!! argg but the nontransformables look awesome!! are theese retail or proze machine gashapon? Quote
Graham Posted September 23, 2003 Author Posted September 23, 2003 Not sure, but at only ¥285 or ¥300 a pop, I'm guessing gashapon. Graham Quote
Lynx7725 Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 (edited) Looks good. This feels like a line that I can collect a whole squadron and not be broke doing it.. Good news. EDIT: Wish they had the Tomahawk and GBP pics up though. Edited September 23, 2003 by Lynx7725 Quote
recon Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Sorry to say this, Ugly little fellows except for the regult. Cheers Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 (edited) wow, this is the first time I didn't see a vf-1s in a set of valks like that. So I'm guessing it's not being made or it's being made for the second release? Do you know Graham? and also, a max with no miriya. Now that's a first! Edited September 23, 2003 by BoBe-Patt Quote
Toonz Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 thanks graham! hikaru's gunpod is HUGE!!!! regult looks so cool! ah this is one that shows the transformation sequence. Quote
NoSuchFile Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 That's really nice, at that price, I can get some transforming CF and destroy them, get a non transformable Hikaru VF-1J and loads of regulds and make a cool battle field Quote
ewilen Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 (edited) Yes, the Regult looks very nice, as does the nontransformable battroid. Thanks for the pics. Any idea of the size/scale? Hm. I can make out "Battroid [something] 7 cm". Edited September 23, 2003 by ewilen Quote
vt102 Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Can't wait to get some of these. Thanks for the updated pics Graham. Quote
Gyges Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 All hail the reigning Banprestos! But the Regult and non-transforming VF-1J do look great, I agree. Quote
mechatek Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 One word, fugly. Regult is exempt. Quote
flash Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Ooooh, I can't wait to get about a dozen of these little regaults running around my display cases! Quote
jwinges Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Does anybody know if any of our macrossworld retailers are going to be carrying these. Thx Quote
ewilen Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Ooooh, I can't wait to get about a dozen of these little regaults running around my display cases! Careful, if they multiply you might have to call in an exterminator. Quote
twinmoons Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Does anybody know if any of our macrossworld retailers are going to be carrying these.Thx I've contacted our supplier and trying to find out if they'll be able to get these Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 (edited) I don't know, I kinda like the canopy of these valks. Looks pretty cool. I'll judge them when I see them in person. Edited September 23, 2003 by BoBe-Patt Quote
Batou Posted September 23, 2003 Posted September 23, 2003 Wow. I love the Regults, but those valks look a little funny to me. What's up with the head lasers? It looks like Hikaru jumped in some cold water. Quote
Cdr Fokker Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 Does anybody know if any of our macrossworld retailers are going to be carrying these.Thx I've contacted our supplier and trying to find out if they'll be able to get these Woohoo! Any chance on offering some sort of "bulk" deal for those of us wanting to purchase mass quantities of Regults? Maybe sell them by the case or something? Quote
Guppy Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 Could these be a banpresto killer? Although banpresto often pops up on the 'Sale' list at hlj so they might not take much killing... Quote
MicronianDevil Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 I'd probably pick up a couple of Regults. Depending on the price. Quote
007-vf1 Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 My biggest question is: What's the approximated scale?? Quote
Deadzone Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 I think the non transformable one looks pretty good. See, this is why I wish yamato would do something about the nose cones to the valkyries. They just look too big to me in robot mode. I actually like the proportions on this thing better than the yamato 1/48. It's nosecone isn't hanging around the knees. Of course, then it wouldn't look good in fighter mode. I wish they could just split the difference. Quote

Any chance on offering some sort of "bulk" deal for those of us wanting to purchase mass quantities of Regults? Maybe sell them by the case or something? Hehe, well, as soon as I have info on these I'll be able to let you guys know about quantity discounts, etc. From the description it seems like they will be sold in box sets though. I hope we can get them individually in MARKED boxes, unlike the other figures. I hate those mystery boxes. Quote
mechatek Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 These look like Banpresto rejects. Just one word, fugly. Quote
myk Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 The fighters on the stands thing is kinda' nice... Quote
bandit29 Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 The transformable ones look like Banecrapos.. :puke: emoticon where are you? I do like the non-transformable VF-1J and the Regults. Not bad at all. Quote
Gyges Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 Why is everyone taking this opportunity to denigrate Banprestos, when they seem superior to what's being shown here? -They have an excellent sculpt -The proportions are quite good -They come loaded for bear with lots of nifty accesories -They don't need parts swapping Quote
the white drew carey Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 I think the transformable ones look OK in fighter and Gerwalk mode, but I'd have to agree with everyone else that the Battroid mode sucks. I do like the pic of the non-transformable Hikaru kicking the Regult over. Quote
ZorClone Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 one question: WHERE CAN I BUY!?!? I'm with most everyone else, I love the Regult and non-transforming VF-1J, those are obvious diorama pieces just waiting for action! Dom? Where are you? I'd love to see more of that work you did with the super poseable with these little ones! Quote
Max Jenius Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 The transformable ones look like MPCs with those skinny legs and non-childbearing hips. The rest looks really cool. Thanks for the pics Graham. That's the first thing that sprang into my mind. Quote
