bau Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Hello , this is what I did last year, hope you guys like it... before... Quote
Gabe Q Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Wow, that is some nice customization there on a Hase kit. Excellent work. I love the color scheme. BTW, it looks like your battroid has a limp noodle. Quote
DatterBoy Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 That is an incredible custom. Can barely tellit was a HAS kit. I'd love to hear more and see more about the technique you used and what inspired you to make it this way. Very stylistic. You may also want to post it in the models section. :Dat Quote
magicsp00n Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 I think that's a great update to the look, while still keeping very true to the original. Nice style. Quote
Knight26 Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Funky, but what's the backstory on it, why make those particular modificiations? Quote
EXO Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 love the skills. dunno about the scheme and big boots... it's Glam Rock Valky.... nice work... Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Looks good., though fof some reason or another it kind of seems as if it could be the cousin of "Galaxy Defender." Excellent custom, I trully admire your very original work. Quote
wwwmwww Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 What is he reading off of the inside of his air brake? Very nice work... Carl Quote
Mr March Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Strange custom, but very well done. Easily one of the most dramatic departures from the standard VF-1 that I've seen in a custom here on MacrossWorld. The pose is very cool as well. Nice work. Quote
Chas Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 Beautiful! Stunning! Dramatic! A truly inspiring Custom (Inspires me to do my own. . . but I know it wouldn't turn out nearly as good. Hell, I'd probably just scrap the kit! ) I think you have a very well developed sense of colour, your choices are perfectly balanced. Excellent craftsmanship. Quote
promethuem5 Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Wow, that's soooo cool! Ugly as sin, but really awesome none-the less I'd really like to hear about your technique... that's a superb looking stylization, jst not sure about the air brake and the nosecone angle. Killer otherwise... is the scheme something specific? Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 (edited) What is he reading off of the inside of his air brake? It's actually a compact mirror. The valk is just to pretty and vain to go into battle. Unless it's a catfight!! 'Cuz then Meltrandi BIOTCH, IT'S ON!!! Edited April 24, 2005 by nightmareB4macross Quote
promethuem5 Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Looking at it agian, I must admit that the angle of the nosecone is reaaally bugging me.... not to look phallic, but aesthetically, it is really throwing off the natural curve of the body... I'm into comic illustrations, and one of the main things when you are planning a shot is to setup your basic anatomy by finding the 'curve' of the figure... the torso on your model follows a natural curve msot of the way down, but then reverses direction at the nosecone and it is really throwing off the look of the model and its pose... just my two cents Quote

I agree. Quote
promethuem5 Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 Glad I'm not the only one to think that way... I think it is worst in the full sideways shot... your eye really wants the nosecone to stick out there and if you look at it enough, you start imagining it there to fix the curve of the torso. Quote
Phyrox Posted April 24, 2005 Posted April 24, 2005 I really like it, but why the open airbreak? That sorta ruins it for me...although nearly everything else I like. Quote
bau Posted April 28, 2005 Author Posted April 28, 2005 Thanks everyone!! I didn't realise the problem myself and I'm sure I can do better next time....hehe... Quote
dyowelb Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 i like it.. do you have any 'in-progress' pictures? Quote
DatterBoy Posted April 28, 2005 Posted April 28, 2005 Why yes.. yes I do! gallery for this thing Quote
dyowelb Posted April 29, 2005 Posted April 29, 2005 Why yes.. yes I do!gallery for this thing thanks man... Quote
Ghadrack Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 Yeah I gotta say, that is a crazy cool custom dude, I love what you did with that kit, it has a slightly more animated feel to it. Really really pretty in my opinion, and I like the pose, nosecone and all Quote
Hurin Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 (edited) That looks pretty cool! Were you trying to convert it into a WSP-1 Wasp from Battletech or perhaps a Phoenix Hawk? (because of the FAST Packs). . . because it has taken on a very Battletech-esque look that I actually quite like! H Edited April 30, 2005 by Hurin Quote
izzyfcuk Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 i woudn't have believe that was a hase if nobody mentioned it Quote
