Just picked up this little bit of info from Anime News Network regarding some more Hellsing anime. Apparently, it's going to be in OVA form, with 35-minute episodes at an undisclosed number of episodes.

Best of all though, it's being based directly on the manga material. Woooo, no more Incognito! It's being co-produced by Geneon entertainment.

However it's not Gonzo doing the animation duties this time, but instead Satelight, the guys who did the animation production for Macross Zero.

very cool i am looking forward to this, I liked the original animation alot but i have already seen all of the episodes. so all of this new stuff will be excellent for me.

I never caught on what's so great about Hellsing. It was so-so for me..and the whole incognito plot was stupid.

Sounds good. It was a visually striking series, but I thought they could have done more with it. Hopefully this second OVA will improve on the storyline. Way to many shows have an invincible main character. I blame Tomino and Gundam.

yeah, the original was only "so-so" for me too... it was a good concept, but I thought the execution could've been a little better. I suppose I'll probably check this out too though.
