promethuem5 Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 HWR, where do you store all of those things when they are done?? They are soooo cool, but just look like way too much of a space investment.
electric indigo Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 electric indigo, how is that Banshee kit? I love the look of it, even have one on order with SSM, but have been curious as to the look & fit. And thanks. 396853 psst, Kylwell, there are other forums on this board: Banshee WIP at the "other anime & SF" forum The executive version is: The kit Rocks!
Kylwell Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Yeah but I dinna read them. Thanks, I'll keep it on order.
HWR MKII Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 P5 i store them where they will fit. The M1 lives on the floor in my hbby room and the 1/16 ones are small enough to live on shelves. Sad news though MY WONDERFUL cat decided to get on the shelf with the 2 gepards. IT COLLAPSED THE SHELF. one gepard is suffering a smashed turret and the ther has 2 snapped axles on the roadwheels and various surface cracks all over it. Rob it looks like ill need to cann the one for some parts to get mine back up

HWR MKII Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 True Im going to see if i can get ANOTHER gepard for spares in the future and to reconstitute the other one.

big F Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 Done with it..finally!!!! 397152 Great work Just out of interest what did you use for the skin tone ? Invariably anything that says its skin tone is usually not IMO. Yours looks right to me though. I have a couple of figures that are all but done except the skin tone.
Mechleader Posted May 6, 2006 Posted May 6, 2006 thanks for the kind words everyone! I use tamaya flat flesh, white and a drop or two of yellow.

HWR MKII Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 Threw this together yesterday. Fun kit overall and nt too involved to make it look good.

HWR MKII Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 the bike will have to wait it is nowhere near finished yet. Can you guess where its from?
Viceland Posted May 7, 2006 Posted May 7, 2006 (edited) one more....thanks!!!!!!Glad you like it!!!! 397158 Nice pic, like the droid fighter shooting at her ... But man! that's some strong thumbs on her! it's damb nearly impossible to do that with bass strings, especially so close to the headstock, I guess it's another example of "Anime magic". ChaosWarrior Posted May 8, 2006 Posted May 8, 2006 Its Cloud Strife's Bike from the FF7 game. 397786 I guess FF means Final Fantasy, then perhaps it's no surprise that I didn't know, course I haven't played or seen much the game. Now that I've seen the bike (part of anyway) I maybe will ChaosWarrior
Kurt Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Hey everyone. Here is a bit of a break from all the custom valks I have been doing. While this is technically not a model, I thought you might like to see. A member here commissioned me to re-paint their Biker Scout from Gentle Giant. Also used is a new base from germany I believe. I added all of the ground work. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
physioguy Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 Here's my latest, die-cast destroid monster. I couldn't bring myself to spending 200 bucks on the 1/200 destroid monster model, so i bought 2 broken matchbox monsters off ebay for 19.00 and then used a little putty to fill holes and extend the nose. So here's a before and after comparison... plus a few other customs I'm working on.
mojacko Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 wow....thats a nice little monster u got....great job on painting it....

big F Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 (edited) Kurt I love your stuff (as always) Physioguy Nice custom monster I though of getting one a while ago to do that to Now I think Im going to have to. Simple shading to the VF-17 make sooo much difference. Great work. Edited May 9, 2006 by big F
Ghadrack Posted May 9, 2006 Posted May 9, 2006 I got a littel too excited and now I have four kits running at one time, error! error!! Anyhow, I am working on one of Cap's Regults, and a seperate standing pilot figure, an old, old 1/100ish scale gerwalk kit and I just got started cleaning up a Farscape Moia kit I plan to give to my Mom for Mother's Day, she loved that show If it comes out alright I'll try to post a few pics. Unfortunately, the underside of the ship is a little warped probably my fault for improper storage, I have some work to do to get it all straightened out.
