TSP Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 (edited) A small Bandai kit from Ebay. I think the detailing now are okay for this scale. Had to do a lot of changes to get away from the toy-look. Edited April 6, 2005 by TSP Quote
TSP Posted April 6, 2005 Author Posted April 6, 2005 And the last one. I'm still don't know which color I should paint the markings. I think maybe something like Maximilian Jenius style like in the movies (black/blue). Quote
Berttt Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Nice work, I did one of these a while ago. Where did the landing gear come from? Berttt Quote
AlphaHX Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Wow, I hate that kit... You actually made it decent looking. Quote
Mule Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Really good work for a model that small. Actually, that's really good for a model of any size Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Nice work, I think this kit also come with a VF-11C battriod kit. Quote
Ido Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 You kitbashed it to do a vf-11 fighter with fastpack right? Nice, but the battroid legs are really oversize. Quote
TSP Posted April 6, 2005 Author Posted April 6, 2005 This kit came with a Battroid. I used some parts to build a Fastpack version. The Battroid parts indeed are bigger than the Fighter kit parts. So changed it in the style of the VF-1 Super Valkyrie. The landing gear was taken from Revell's 1/144 S-37 Berkut. The Berkut became a Vic Viper. So it has no use for wheels. I am simultaniously working on a 1/72 Legioss(Armo-Driver) too. Beneath the little fellow that comes along with the kit. Quote
TSP Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 (edited) So this kit is finished . The next one will be a VF-19. Maybe with Soundbooster Unit if I get enough info about the Size/dimensions. Edited April 10, 2005 by TSP Quote
honneamise Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Outstanding work TSP! First I too thought the battroid legs look a bit too big but now, after the colouring, everything matches perfectly. You really did a good job in bringing out all the tiny detail. I thought of building this kit too but as I collect "normal" planes in 1/144 too, I was too disappointed with the Bandai Kits compared to what Revell/Dragon/whatever can achieve (and already had achieved in the early 90s when the Bandais were brandnew). But you really show that with skills like yours these toylike playthingies can be made into cool looking replicas worth adding to a collection. Can´t wait to see more buildups, keep up the good work! Myersjessee Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Very nice work. Especially impressive considering how tiny those buggers are! Quote
TSP Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 (edited) Thanks! I think theSound booster will be nice too in 1/144. Found some picturesand looks easy tobuild inthis scale. Edited April 10, 2005 by TSP Quote
TSP Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 Now for the Legioss. Since playing the awfully easy RobotechInvasion I#mtotally in old Imai modelkit fever. Quote
TSP Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 The fuselage was taken from a 1/144 Tornado . Fits perfectly I think. Quote
P.W.Royce Posted April 12, 2005 Posted April 12, 2005 Thats funny, I just finished the revell S-37 tonight. I put it in my display case next to my Bandi VF-11. Wierd. So, what does a Vic-Viper made out of a Sukhoi look like anyway? Quote
TSP Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 Doesn't look much of a suhkoi . Pic?.... maybe later Quote
