Ravenstar Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Whats needed? Mechs and ships that have yet to become models? Does anyone have a list of designs from Macross that haven't been made into a model? Or at least what would be needed in a diffrent scale, i.e ,( the Monster in 1/72 scale that is being made) Do you guys wish to make one here? This would be for anyone who wanted to fill those needed voids? Post the name of the Mech , ships , ect. , what "Macross" show if you can, and what scale the model should be. thanks chris Quote
Ranger565 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 The list would be right around 100 Or even more of Items that have not been made. I cant even list them all, or have the brain power to do so. Ranger565 Quote
DestroidDefender Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Nousjadeul-Ger in any scale other than 1/144. Quote
Myersjessee Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 What scale would you want to work in? 1/72 is popular..and off the top of my head there are some rare mech designs we need as well as pretty much everything from Macross Zero Quote
HWR MKII Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Any of the UN ground vehicles from the first series like the 6 wheeled ones or the big 10 or 12 wheeled ones in 1/72 scale would be good for destroid set dressing. Maybe even a destroid "Meat Wagon" Like the one seen when hikaru meets his subordinates for the first time. Quote
Grayson72 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 (edited) Where's that wish list we made a while ago. Of course my preferred scale is 1/72. Ravenstar if you are going to start building us modellers more kits we are going to love you QF9000 Ghost would be at the top of my list Edited March 31, 2005 by Grayson72 Quote

ewilen Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Nousjadeul-Ger in any scale other than 1/144. 1/87 (to terrorize HO scale train setups)? Actually, to add the list just above, even though I'm not a modeller, I'd love to see someone else's efforts for the MiM-31 Karyobin and (especially) the FL-200. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=1555 http://nanashino.macrossmecha.info/aerospcraft/fl200.html I'm sure I also wouldn't mind seeing this thing realized in resin: http://www.mahq.net/mecha/macross/sdfmacross/recoverypod.htm Quote
Ravenstar Posted March 31, 2005 Author Posted March 31, 2005 wow , lots here I don't even know about. I'll have to do some searching on some of these I have never seen before or aat least didn't know the names of. i thought there was a QF9000 Ghost made years ago and a just new release of the VB-6 Konig Monster Gerwalk , or what I thought was one. I see theres no ships on the list , have they all been done, I only have the SDF and the small Zentreidi ships.? now I have dig out what resource ooks and tapes I have.lol Quote
Myersjessee Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Some have been made since the list...here is my current opinion. (and the ghost is a different ghost then was made) MODEL and SCALE VF-5000 (1/72) QF-9000 Ghost (1/72) VF-1 Thunder Hammer Armor Conversion (1/72) YF-19A Battroid (1/72) VF-14 (1/72) VF-5000 Battroid (1/72) VF-3000 (1/72) VF-9 (1/72) VF-17 (1/72) VF-1 Stampede Armor Conversion (1/72) VF-19 with Booster Packs (1/72) VF-19S (1/72) VF-2J (1/72) VF-17 (1/72) VF-3000 Battroid (1/72) Quote
hellohikaru Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I can't seem to find any entries for the QF-9000, what does it look like ? Is it anything like the QF-3000 ? Quote
AlphaHX Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 My wishlist is pretty much anything 1/72 Macross but I can be picky. (1/72) VF-5000 Fighter (1/72) VF-5000 Battroid (1/72) VF-1 GBP Armor Conversion (1/72) VF-1 Thunder Hammer Armor Conversion (1/72) YF-19 Battroid (1/72) YF-21 Battroid (1/72) VF-17 Fighter (1/72) VF-17 Battroid (1/72) VF-4 Battroid (1/72) VF-0 Battroid (1/72) SV-51 Battroid (1/72) VF-1 Stampede Armor Conversion After that if I get some more choices... anything 1/72 Gerwalk. Quote
promethuem5 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 1/72 enemy mecha! I like stuff in 1/72 and 1/100 scale for my models... I relaize I'm in the minority on the 1/100 tho Quote
Less than Super Ostrich Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 (edited) ahhhh... thanks grayson... somebody remembered my list! Ravenstar... we have a very active community here and very excited to see a caster with interest in this segment. 1) Bigger reproductions of existing pieces. Such as making 1/48th options for things already produced in 1/72nd scale. The toy community is huge on MW... and there is big 1/48th fever courtesy of Yamato. The 1/72nd scale Monster is another example. 2) More accurate builds are also popular. For example, John M. is doing a scratchbuilt Regult pod (he's got 50+ orders) which is already done in 1/72nd scale... he's just making it more accurate and slightly bigger. 3) And finally, new scratchbuilds are doing well too. Once again John M did the booster, which got good response. Tanmen had good demand for his Dragon, Cat's Eye and Fan Racer. But don't get us started on his fulfillment! I agree with Meyersjesse... the Macross Zero would be a great place to start. How about a Cheyenne Destroid? Awesome, baby. Awesome. p.s. you asked about ships... the Yellow sub SDF is great, so we don't need another one. And I can't tell you one person who cares about the Zentreidi ships since they look like flying pieces of poo. Edited March 31, 2005 by Less than Super Ostrich Quote
promethuem5 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I for one would LOVE really accurate Destroids. I know there are 1/100 and 1/72 kits already... but 1/60 and 1/48 could go a long way. Quote
Grayson72 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 (edited) I'd love a big scale ARMD though. I think that was supposed to be the QF-3000, my bad Ravenstar, the 3000 was from the original Macross series and has never been produced. The one you're thinking of is the X-9 Ghost from Macross plus and was produced by EBO in 1/72 scale (I'm in the process of building the kit) Edited March 31, 2005 by Grayson72 Quote
hellohikaru Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 I think most of our scratchbuilders can come up with zentraedi ships using off the shelf materials like the cucumber and egg plant. Quote
Sweet-1 Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Some 1/72 VF-2 fighters and variations (the ones out are too expensive and rare). A VF-9 fighter (battroid is fugly) in 1/72. Some 1/72 Gerwalk conversions for the Hase's. Lonnie Quote
Kylwell Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 My wish list, Orguss Logwood Orgus Tegua Orguss Kulforn Orguss Ishkick Command Orguss Emaan Flyerr Orguss Drifand Dee VF-X-7 Ghost VFS-2 Star Child VA-X-3 thinks thats about it for now. Quote
Berttt Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I think 1/72 destroids are covered, except for the Missile Phalanx, which could maybe be done as a conversion for the Imai kits, or not so you don't have to scavenge parts from a perfectly good kit. Quote
Ravenstar Posted April 1, 2005 Author Posted April 1, 2005 YUM YUM , man lots of cool things to build . I really like the VF-X-7 Ghost , I'm sure I'll try that one. Just have to settle on a scale, I do like the 1/60th scale.. whats the Cheyenne Destroid look like? , I've never heard of that one. Are there any sites that have pics of all these designs you guys are talking about? Quote

Grayson72 Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 NO!! not 1/60 it won't go with any other models I have Quote
Less than Super Ostrich Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 NO!! not 1/60 it won't go with any other models I have Grayson is right. There is a big preference for either 1/72nd or 1/48th. ONly thing in 1/60 are the toys.... and us Modelers don't get along with those kiddies! just kiddin' y'all. Quote

Unless you're feeling randy and want to go 1:32 or 1:35 Quote
Ravenstar Posted April 1, 2005 Author Posted April 1, 2005 hehe , sorry just kidding on the 1/60th scale. man that Cheyenne is diffrent, but cool. thanks for the link , man lots of stuff I've never seen, I'm a happy old dog now. If I do any kits they would be 72nd and or 48th scale, ships would depend on the actual size of the true size ( yea I know wierd thing to say about a cartoon) . I really don't want to go larger and most models on the market are 72nd or 48th. Quote
jipe Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 ...And all the aircrafts ! - Stonewell SC 27 Star - General Titanic (dynamics ?) Grayson72 Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Ooooh thanks Jipe, forgot about all those and I especially loooove the Sikorsky AH-72 Commanchero. Prolly second on my list then. Quote
promethuem5 Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Stupid model elitists... now your 1/60 Battlemechs really won't have any friends... I still want 1/100 stuff anyways. Quote
cokefiend Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Are there already destroids in 1/72? I've never seen them. Quote
Grayson72 Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 (edited) Arii and Imai made all the destroids except the Phalanx and Monster in 1/72. There's also the WF line of resin kits which include all destroids. Check out the complete 1/72 list of models. Edited April 1, 2005 by Grayson72 Quote
Ravenstar Posted April 1, 2005 Author Posted April 1, 2005 Does anyone know what those things are under the Cheyennes auto canons? Quote
jipe Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I guess that some aircrafts are very close to actually aircrafts. (Hind or Havoc, C-130, Frogfoot, Sea King,...) It would be easy for a good modeller ( someone is listening ?) to custom or create those planes. Let me dream ....... Quote
