Coota0 Posted March 26, 2005 Posted March 26, 2005 Has anybody played Brothers in Arms? What did you think? If you played Full Spectrum warrior did you like it better? Quote
Kin Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 (edited) Sorry, but I'm little too disapointed.. It's actually like Call of Duty. But they made gameplay more difficult and complicated by using too much command buttons. It's still not fun enough with computer AI along side. Also gameplay hasn't changed from Medal of Honor. still same boring stories and bomb planting and annoying loading sequences. I still like battlefield much better. Edited March 27, 2005 by Kin Quote
Noriko Takaya Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 Don't care for it much either. And Call of Duty looked better visually. Quote
bsu legato Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 Brothers in Arms is probably on par with COD in visual terms. What sets BIA apart from COD is that the levels are meticulously recreations of real French towns in Normandy, unlike the generic villages in COD. Also, the ability to actually command your AI squadmates is much more satisfying than the scripted idiots in COD. Like Full Spectrum Warrior, you can actually use fire and movement tactics instead of just charging into the next scripted battle like you would in COD. Also, the weapons are modeled much more satisfyingly than I've seen yet. The rifles have actual weight to them, and you cannot hold the sights on a particular pixel waiting for the enemy to show themselves. The rifles will sway slightly in your hands, just like a 9 pound M1 really would. So far I'm on D Day +1 and I'm enjoying it quite a bit. Quote
Uxi Posted March 27, 2005 Posted March 27, 2005 No, but it makes me wanna go back to the WWII mod for BF: Vietnam. Quote
