olivers Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 What is the scale/height of this? Thanks Quote
UN Spacy Posted January 21, 2006 Posted January 21, 2006 (edited) If I order one I'll need to find a model maker on MW to paint this for me. Ryuji. Can I order one from you already constructed and painted? How much would that cost? Edited January 21, 2006 by UN Spacy Quote

Ryuji Posted January 26, 2006 Author Posted January 26, 2006 molds and cast test (still needs some adjusts - some parts failed ) For casting test I used Axon Fast cast F-18 (pot life 3'30") but it's too fast - sometimes the resin starts to cure before complete to fill the mold and it's summer here,so it's HOT !! (in hot days resin cure more fast...) Tomorrow I will buy Fast cast F-19 (pot life 7') http://www.hobbyfanatics.com/index.php?act...pe=post&id=9019 Quote
CoryHolmes Posted January 26, 2006 Posted January 26, 2006 Did you go long leg or short leg on the final sculpt? Quote

NERV Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 So, Ryuji, are you going to be painting one for us to see? Quote
Less than Super Ostrich Posted January 27, 2006 Posted January 27, 2006 geez, nerv. the guy is pretty busy. I think his scuplt does pretty well in detailing how nice this kit is. Quote

Ryuji Posted January 31, 2006 Author Posted January 31, 2006 After "collect" a lot of failed parts I decided to make some changes: I will separate the hand from right arm and the top part of helmet and remake the mold (this will make the kit more easy to build and paint) . This will take more 2 days... Sorry for delay. Quote
Ryuji Posted February 15, 2006 Author Posted February 15, 2006 After make about 15 copies, something strange started to happen: the resin started to "react" with silicon rubber and started to atack and stick... This was a good quality silicon and had to be strong - with polyester resin I can make more than 50 copies without problem but with Axon Fast Cast F-18 the mold is destroyed and useless after only 15... but unfortunatelly this is the only urethane resin brand available here... I had to remake all molds Now I'm testing a stronger silicon and reserching a way to protect from "resin atack"... ... and my failed parts "collection" is growing... Quote
Vespaeda Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 [with the beat & lyrics of "Right Said Fred" in the background....] "...I'm...too seXy for your mOlds, ...too SExy FoR yOUr MOLDS!... ...ToO sExY...too sExY..." Quote
Guest Bromgrev Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 ... and my failed parts "collection" is growing... 370381 Look on the bright side - with your skills, you'll be able to make a fine line-up of Komilla dancing girls out of all those 'unfit-for-mortal-modellers' parts! Quote
UN Spacy Posted March 1, 2006 Posted March 1, 2006 Will you be painting her anytime soon Ryuji? Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Nice details. Excellent as always Ryuji!!! **Damn filters don\'t allow me view the pics in large detail. I can\'t even use the smileys to show my dismay. Quote
Witchblade Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 plate parts and finished torso. 381083 That is simply awesome. Amazing job, as always. I suspect you're going to sell quite a few of these kits. Quote
NERV Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 think of this as constructive criticism, but i cant help but notice how you made the hair of your minmay figures cleaner, smoother, and more detailed (the detail part owuld be the braids) unless of course you are painting the original and the production model is cleaner... ? baxojayz Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Amazing. The helmet is exceptional. She looks lovely already! Quote
chrono Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 Totally agree! That helmet's finish is VERY nice. R, are you brush painting these or are you spraying them? Quote
