Baloo Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 Is there any chance someone could tell me where to get this file? I've been looking for it for AGES Quote
Pat S Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 If imacross4 is no longer in use, you should be able to get it from the Macross Direct Connect Hub. Search for both with the search tool. Quote
promethuem5 Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 (edited) If all else fails, I will email it to people if they like... I've done it before. EDIT: I meant the old one as I myself dont have the new one yet Edited May 31, 2005 by promethuem5 Quote
Jasonc Posted June 17, 2005 Posted June 17, 2005 Thought I'd give this thread a little update,,, I'm gonna make this into like a 1/55 scale, so that would make it stand what, about 2-2.5 feet??? My question is, what size paper would I need? 16x20? I am wondering if the current scan would work alright on that size, or would I need to "clean" it for a higher resolution. I will get this up and going though, if I can make it possible with the resolution. Gonna start this weekend. Quote
Jagull Posted June 20, 2005 Posted June 20, 2005 holy hell o.o you'll probably need a sturdy type of paper or card-stock. Do they even make 16x20 card-stock? Quote
Chas Posted June 21, 2005 Posted June 21, 2005 (edited) What about good old fashioned Bristol board, you know the stuff we all used for our Science project displays? That'd probably work. (Edit-Typo) Edited June 21, 2005 by Chas Quote

Could this stem from inspiration of seeing the Paper Monster at the Con this past weekend? I think this project is going to be a monster in itself, goodluck on the build Jason. Funny thing is, I was actually contemplating the same thing. BTW, did you get my e-mail about the 1/55 parts? Quote
Jagull Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 Plywood might be a better bet yes! a Monster made out of plywood (or any type of wood)! gah, i'm so gonna do that Quote
J A Dare Posted September 1, 2007 Author Posted September 1, 2007 Hey MW gang, I've received requests for the paper monster kit. Found the files on my old hard drive. Below is a link to the zipped files. I also included finished examples. Paper Monster Kit w/ Manual http://dare.to/sandbox/papermonster.zip Paper Monster finished pics (not mine, from old MW posts) http://dare.to/sandbox/papermonster_examples.zip Have fun! Jason zipped files back online due to popular demand. I'll plan on keeping them up indefinitely (until further notice). Viel Spass! Quote
promethuem5 Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 You know... I haven't had a request for them in a while... maybe just bc/ the thread has fallen off until today everyone forgot about it. Now people will have two ways to get it tho, so, who knows... Quote
J A Dare Posted September 1, 2007 Author Posted September 1, 2007 Hey promethuem5, Thanks for picking up the slack. FYI, I haven't been on the board for quite a while, probably over a year! Been moving (physically) too much to keep up here. Anyways, when I did logon today, there was a bunch of request for the paper monster in my messages. Yes, they were old requests but I didn't notice the dates. Anyways, I'd figure I could upload them again (no space issues yet). Cheers! Quote
promethuem5 Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 I've been doing it for ages and still have no problem doing it if people have trouble finding it or whatever... Quote
