baronv Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Robocon I was planning on attending Anime Expo for the first time since it's right around the corner from me. Now that Robocon is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Robotech, is anyone planning on attending this event? Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 eh, I might. Depends on what I'm feeling that day. But Anime expo is a definite for me. I haven't missed a year yet since '98! Quote
Solscud007 Posted March 14, 2005 Posted March 14, 2005 hmm maybe, but i hear robocon is separate admission prices. If it was a panel than the infamous "bootleg guy" should prolly make his prescence known. haha j/k no more rabble rousing for me. Quote
baronv Posted March 14, 2005 Author Posted March 14, 2005 Oh, I thought that admission to Robocon was open if you had a ticket to Anime Expo but that you'd have to pay extra for some panels or something. Their FAQ section really blows and doesn't explain clearly how it works. Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 Typical wonderful AX service for yas, better get use to it it only gets worse. I'd email and ask if serious interested about attending both. How many peeps here are going? Roll Call! Quote
Jasonc Posted April 1, 2005 Posted April 1, 2005 I'll be there. For both that is. I only live 20 minutes away, but I will be rooming down there the 4 days or so. Quote

MEMO1DOMINION Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 ALSO....BUG TOMMY ABOUT ANYTHING OUT OF KAWAMORI CAMP. MAYBE HE KNOWS SOMETHING.... ONLY WAY YOU GET INFO OUTSIDE OF JAPAN...HOPE HE CAN SPEAK ABOUT THEM ISSUES. THEY DO KNOW EACH OTHER. HEHEHE Quote
baronv Posted April 6, 2005 Author Posted April 6, 2005 Ditto, I'm in. I'm hopping over to AX just to hopefully buy some animation cels. I'm kinda peaked out with toys these days. Quote
Jasonc Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 It's nice to know that Robocon 20 isn't an extra fee. Now, to just register for AX, I'll be alright. I'm really excited to see more animatics for the new Robotech Movie. That should be quite interesting. Quote
Solscud007 Posted April 14, 2005 Posted April 14, 2005 hey as long as it is better than G-Saviour or Robo Jox Hey I may watch it and laugh Quote

BoBe-Patt Posted June 22, 2005 Posted June 22, 2005 only person's name I recognize is rebe west as she was minmay. Quote
isamu Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 O.K. so what's the deal? Who went? How was it? Did Reba West show up? Tony Oliver? Did Reba sing Minmay songs? I don't feel too back for not going this time, since I already went to the 10 yr one back in '95. Reba sang her Minmay songs and I got it, as well as all kinds of other great footage on home video Quote
Mechamaniac Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 So, Reba West was there?. The butcher of Minmay? The solitary worse singing voice ever?. Noone strangled her?. Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted July 19, 2005 Posted July 19, 2005 eh, I was suppose to go, but I totally missed out on it. Oh wellz. Maybe next time. Quote
isamu Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Oh wellz. Maybe next time. 312263[/snapback] some of them might not be alive next time Quote
baronv Posted July 20, 2005 Author Posted July 20, 2005 I went, even though MW is all about Robotech bashing at times, I still dig Robotech and it's influence. Most of the major voice actors was there, and they were all nice, I got them to sign my Robotech Art 1 book, there's pics floating around the net of the three different panels and the actors signings. If no one finds some, I can post. It was a fun event and there were private BBQs and dinners for all the Robocons fans who were able to go to them. Quote
