bandit29 Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Cowboy Bebop REMIX Coming (02:41 PM EST): According to an update in the Anime Insider magazine that the folks at Anime News Network came across, there are plans for more Bebop this summer. According to the article, "REMIX will feature a completely remixed and remastered Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS surround sound and remastered video under the direction/supervision of Shinichiro Watanabe. REMIX will include new extras such as interviews with the US voice actors and actresses, collections of trailers, promos, the Session 0 extras (Japanese Interviews witht he staff and cast, story digest of the second half of the series, Tank music videos) and more. REMIX will be released over six-discs with the release schedule tba." http://www.animeondvd.com/ Dunno if I'd double dip on this one. I already own the perfect sessions box from Bandai. Quote
twich Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 sounds cool to me, I dont know why, but anything in DTS is gold to me. Twich Quote
Keith Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Since the already existing disc's already have the extra's I want, (session 0 extras), but it'd be cool if they released a box... Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 if I remember correctly from the first time this was posted, the box set was suppose to be like over 200 bucks or something like that. I was like hell no. I already have the first boxset so why shell out that kinda money for another one? Quote
JELEINEN Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Here's the Japanese release: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=BCBA-2022 Quote
Mr March Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Yeah, I believe this came up before. I own all the single Cowboty Bebop DVDs and the Bebop movie already. The price for the new set is very steep. I'm also starting to plan ahead when it comes to DVD purchases. While I enjoy the improvements of DVD over old tapes, I'm already looking toward the next generation digital formats that will reduce/eliminate block noise, color gradients, and layer transitions. I want a format that will finally do ultimate justice to the true look of a quality film. Quote
bandit29 Posted February 17, 2005 Author Posted February 17, 2005 The price is unknown. Bandai-Ent has yet to confirm this release. The Japanese release is what was talked about before. Quote
Mr March Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Oh, well that's actually good. It means there may yet be some hope that the set will be reasonably priced. If it is, I may upgrade if I can sell my old discs. Quote
Smiley424 Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 since I don't own Bebop yet, I'll probably look into this new set. I knew that they'd probably release a new set with DTS and all that. Now I'm waiting to see a new Trigun release. Quote
Eternal_D Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 If this comes out in the states, I'll probably rent it first to see if there's a noticeable difference and then decide whether to get it or not. I'm a big CB fan and love to get that 5.1 bumpin. Quote
bigkid24 Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Depending on the price I might get this. It'd be nice to have an official release of the DVDs and in 5.1! Woohoo! Quote
Kamui 777 Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Since I just got a new Surround Sound system and an HDTV, I'm sold. Quote
