Hi everynody. I've recently started work on an old plated imai legioss kit (thanks, drewsky), and I've been wondering, how do I efficiently get rid of the seam lines on those types of kits? I mean, what should I do to not completely rip off the metallic paint and expose some unsightly plastic? Anybody have any tips?

There is no way too putty and sand away the seam without destroying the plating.

Seam lines are part of plated kits. You can try to paint the seams with a metallic paint, but it won't look plated either.

The best plated kits that I've seen so far are the Gundam kits. Their only advantage though is the seams are along panel lines.
