1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 (edited) The boxes should be larger and transform. That is if they gave away free gbp armor and fast pack parts with every valk I'm all for it. Banpresto Boxes: massive amount of wasted space for such a small and easily breakable toy. I wish there was a way to order heaps of these without the box. Make it so that you assemble the toy yourself. Edited April 30, 2005 by 1/1 LowViz Lurker Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 I'm all for reducing the size, provided the interior packaging can secure the contents arrived unharmed. Quote
connor99 Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 I voted for smaller boxes. Sure, the 1/48 boxes look great, specially the black ones (they look so elegant!), but at the end it all boils down to how much we're paying for these lovely imports. Just most of you guys pointed out . I'm all for paying less for my toys . Quote
bandit29 Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 This thread needs to die lol There's post from me from 2 years ago lol and Yamato still loves big boxes....the Scopedog box is about the same size as the 1/48 box. The design is the same too with flap and window. Quote
Dat Pinche Haro! Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 And how exactly would a bigger box benefit? You get the same freakin' product in the same packaging. It's the product inside that counts. Who the hell really cares if the box is pretty or not. I've stated before that the boxes were nice but come on, I'd buy the same valk if it came in an ordinary cardboard box. I'm sure many of us (if not all) wouldn't give a rat's behind about it either. All I really care for is what's inside the box. THE BOX DOESN'T FREAKIN' MATTER!!! Now go back into your little cave, troll... Quote
Graham Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Wow, digging up a thread from 2003. Guess it's a quiet weekend, huh? Considering that the 1/48 GBP armor might be Yamato's final Macross product, it's a little to late to hope for smaller boxes now. Graham Quote
izzyfcuk Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 final product? awww damn..please don't, they have to at least do the elint and ostrich!!! Quote
Guest Bromgrev Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Thread necromancy? This thread's so old, it qualifies for thread archaeology ... Quote

Nightbat Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 You guys are right, everyone with a question should open a new thread Quote
do not disturb Posted May 3, 2005 Author Posted May 3, 2005 wow, 2 years old and still kicking, yeah smaller boxes i say! and to the person whos trying to get rid of their boxes, i'd be willing to take a couple off your hands.....namely the inserts for any of the Super Valks. Quote
Zentrandude Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 Seems with yamato it would be easier to invent somekind of matter compression technology to store your boxes. Its not that old. compared to my taki 1/55 this thread is fresh as a newborn baby. Quote
UN Spacy Posted January 19, 2006 Posted January 19, 2006 Sorry to bump but are most of you throwing your 1/48 boxes away? I don't have anymore room in my closet and I had to fold my boxes down and stuff em in the trunk of my car. Now that I have three more 1/48 boxes coming in I'm thinking about chucking all that plastic and cardboard in the recycling bin. Is there ANY reason to keep the 1/48 boxes? Quote

jonwayne Posted January 20, 2006 Posted January 20, 2006 recently threw/gave away all my boxes. not just yamato valks. even all my gundam kits. PG/MG/SD whatever. just keep the accessories and manual. the only box i still have with me is the Metal Grade RX-78. That metal box is too precious to throw. Quote
