zeo-mare Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 incredible work i like this a very lot. one of these days i am going to pick up a 1/48 cheap just to customize, this I promise Quote
bigkid24 Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Damn. That's one sweet custom. So you used an original LV for that custom? If that's right you did a really good job of matching the paint. Quote
Bub Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 WOW!!! I have question. How did you cut the UN sign over the trench? Quote
Ghost_Tech Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 thats really an awesome costom! everything nicely painted and costomized! Quote
VALKYRIE-EXCHANGE.COM Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Damn impressive, Steve! -Kevin Quote
Radd Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Spectacular, certainly the nicest custom I've seen in a while. My only complaints would be the "identity crisis" others have pointed out in your squadron markings, and on a more personal level I'd probably have done up a squadron other than Skull to give it more personality than simply alternate-universe Skull squadron. Top notch work, though I look forward to seeing more. Quote
Solscud007 Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Dang steve. Go make a movie will ya haha. Quote
hirohawa Posted February 3, 2005 Author Posted February 3, 2005 (edited) Wow. Thanks all! Some pics of fighter sans FP with 1S head Also I got rid of some of the seams on the FP and I don't know if you can tell but I actually masked off and painted some of the panels a slightly different shade also Edited February 3, 2005 by hirohawa Quote
hirohawa Posted February 3, 2005 Author Posted February 3, 2005 WOW!!!I have question. How did you cut the UN sign over the trench? You have to use Microsol and Microset alot to make sure the decals "melt" down and then follow the panel with a very sharp exacto blade. It's pretty easy as long as you have applied the Micro Sol. Fugly Posted February 3, 2005 Posted February 3, 2005 Beautiful man! I can't believe you did that to a low viz. one though Some great decals too! Quote
Wicked Ace Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 I don't know if you can tell but I actually masked off and painted some of the panels a slightly different shade also I noticed. Excellent work. Quote
Kamion Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 Amazing. I can't imagine the patience and effort and concentration to get it done. You customisers really impress me. Quote

VF-18S Hornet Posted February 7, 2005 Posted February 7, 2005 Man if the Marines had a Valkyrie like that the war would have been over. But that is a nice custom man. Quote

hirohawa Posted April 30, 2005 Author Posted April 30, 2005 It's the same valk pics taken over time as I am slow with progress. I am trying to do a custom 1/48 for MW con 5 but work is a bitch right now. When is MWcon 5 anyway? Quote
EXO Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 June 19 meng... speed it up... Steve I have some backgrounds I want you to try to superimpose your lowviz into... I'll send it to you later. Quote
Agent-GHQ Posted April 30, 2005 Posted April 30, 2005 Damn!! I'm speechless...What an amazing work on this LowViz. Anyhow, just a few questions on your custom: 1. Did you used primer? If so, what color primer was used? 2. Can you describe and explain how the "oil technique" is used? 3. What was done to the visor? 4. What type of paint was used (The brand)? 5. What was the name of the color paint used? I must say, your work really inspired me. Got to make one soon! Quote

Exo look forward to those BGs. 1.No 2.Seal paint with Future 2-3 coats and use oil paint to fill in the panel lines and gives it detail to the recessed parts. 3.Visor was a clear recast from Rhoby's 1S heads. 4. It was Model Masters Enamel through an airbrush 5. I beleive it was white and lt. ghost grey Thanks Quote
Wheels Posted May 2, 2005 Posted May 2, 2005 This is the first time that I saw your sweet custom. I think the smiles says it all. Quote
