Fortress_Maximus Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 (edited) I will wait for confirmed pics, I am not loving the recent Alts most are meh. Megs IMO should be a Hummer. Sigh and I use to love TFs, damn the limits for using only licensed molds! Edited February 1, 2006 by Fortress_Maximus
GreenGuy42 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 I will wait for pics, I am not loving the recent Alts most are meh. Sigh and I use to love TFs, damn the limits for using only licensed molds! :angry 365289 Mirage is pretty neat, and Prime is... tolerable... I'll reserve judgement on rumble until I see the mold... still praying they don't make the thing transform like a goddamn cracked egg.
promethuem5 Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Hmm...I really hope that the rumor about Takara canceling the line isn't true but just a wake up call for Takara to stop making crappy models... the line has some serious ups and downs.

I'm sure if the line's to continue on, they'll need to compensate for the lack of Takara's business.
Dangard Ace Posted February 1, 2006 Author Posted February 1, 2006 New pics at Fan2fan THS-02 Prime http://www.fantofan.jp/
Black Valkyrie Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Nice, I like the one with Microman together .
eriku Posted February 1, 2006 Posted February 1, 2006 Finally Prime can kneel like in a noble fasion. Oddly enough I don't mean that sarcastically.
myk Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 You could always think of him as kneeling before Galvatron!
Renato Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Vehicle mode looks a little more tolerable in those shots. Might just be the angle....
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Wow hes just a few cms bigger than microman...
promethuem5 Posted February 2, 2006 Posted February 2, 2006 Holy crap. I hadn't looked at the comparison pics before, but he's sooo tiny. I might want one now just because of how cute sized he is to fidget with... wow.
Smiley424 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 I really like the Mirage/ Ford GT, it looks awesome. This new Optimus Prime I'm gonna have to see in person before I buy it. It looks promising though.
Duke Togo Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Feel free to beat me with a stick if this thread is toys only, but does anyone know the details behind the Region 1 "The Movie" DVD going out of print?
ComicKaze Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 (edited) Check out the classic job they are giving to Primus. Even the back will feature art of all Autobot leaders. http://www.fantofan.jp/news/mag/hyperhobby/hh3-5.jpg Edited February 3, 2006 by ComicKaze
promethuem5 Posted February 3, 2006 Posted February 3, 2006 Wow! That box is gorgeous. Now if only Priums wasn't just another oversized goofy figure I don't have room for...
myk Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Feel free to beat me with a stick if this thread is toys only, but does anyone know the details behind the Region 1 "The Movie" DVD going out of print? 366203 Wow. Where'd you hear that?
Duke Togo Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 Its true. Its OOP. I have no clue who has the rights now.
eriku Posted February 4, 2006 Posted February 4, 2006 I'm guessing Michael Bay has the rights and will destroy the master copies so his Transformers movie will be the only one available. I also hear aluminum foil helmets keep the government from stealing your thoughts.

Now, has anyone heard anything?
niomosy Posted February 5, 2006 Posted February 5, 2006 Wow! That box is gorgeous. Now if only Priums wasn't just another oversized goofy figure I don't have room for... 366441 Primus is one I'd gladly make room for

Now, has anyone heard anything? 366791 LOL... I've asked local outlets about this and they don't know anything about it. Who's next up on the list of contacts?
wolfx Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I'm sure someone posted this or seen it before...but this is cool nonetheless. I think its one of Dreamwave's GIJOE x Transformers during WWII comics. credits: tfnet.
Duke Togo Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Its not just the movie rights, but the original series as well. Its all out of print, and Rhino no longer lists them on its webpage. I'd say somebody new has the rights...
Fortress_Maximus Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Damn Don's work is great! Wondering what the hell is up to nowadays that is TF related if anything? Anyone know?
promethuem5 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Was that comic released? Those WWII designs are amazing.
Dangard Ace Posted February 6, 2006 Author Posted February 6, 2006 Was that comic released? Those WWII designs are amazing. 367333 Ages ago. That was from a very old toyfare mag. You can find the TPB of War Within at your local comic store.
UN Spacy Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I wonder if Takara is going to release figures based off The War Within. I think it'd make an amazing line.
promethuem5 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 DA, that's not War Within, that's WWII GI Joe. I've got WWI, but I want to know if those World War Two made it into a comic?
Dangard Ace Posted February 7, 2006 Author Posted February 7, 2006 DA, that's not War Within, that's WWII GI Joe. I've got WWI, but I want to know if those World War Two made it into a comic? 367440 Oops. Typo and yes it's in comics. GIJoe vs. TF
promethuem5 Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Awesome. Guess I'll be buying that comic too. Someone has got to make that Grimlock and Starscream.
Southpaw Samurai Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Did the actual WW2 G.I.Joe/Transformer comics ever SHOW those nice designs? The ones I looked at (Issues 1 & 2, I think) had everything so bathed in shadows and black and drawn in what was practically Sharpies to really appreciate anything. Sort of worked for the grittiness of a WW2 story, but every Transformer just looked like robot with WW2 kibble thrown on them. I think I recall there being two versions of the story released at the same time or something...maybe these are from the other.
Hoptimus Posted February 7, 2006 Posted February 7, 2006 Time to answer questions. 1.)TF Movie and TV show out of print. Yes. Who has the rights? Last I heard it was SONY. They havent made any announcment if it will be reissued yet. I would bet that hedges on the movie. 2.)Don Figuroa. Designed those WWII TFs for the Dreamwave GI Joe vs TF comic. yes those designs are in the comic but with Jae Lee doing the art it is very murky and shadowy 3.) Whats Don doing these days? New TF Beast Wars comic coming from IDW in the next month I beleive. 4.)Takara making War Within toys....I wish but I highly doubt that would ever happen. k thx bai.
