JELEINEN Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 http://tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial/tve_main/...3082|1|,00.html Well, I guess if Lucas is doing it, Mel might as well too. Quote
Wes Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 He did say the sequel was comming, but I thought it would be in movie-form. Quote
Hurricane29 Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 A movie sequel is in the works I beleive. Quote

Opus Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I just hope it's better than that horrible attempt at a Blazing saddles TV show. Quote
UN Spacy Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I'd much rather see Mel Brooks get started on Spaceballs 2: The Search For More Money. Quote
Keith Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 Well, if Mel Brooks is involved, it has a chance of being good at least. Unlike the Blazing Saddles TV pilot (wish I could forget I ever watched that), which he clearly had no involvement in whatsoever. Quote
bsu legato Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 I'd rather see Brooks remain in semi-retirement. If he had actually produced a funny movie in the last decade I could work up some enthusiasm for this, but the sad fact is that his last several films have been....well, er...crap. Quote
Pat Payne Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 (edited) I just hope it's better than that horrible attempt at a Blazing saddles TV show. If you're thinking of "Black Bart," that wasn't a "Blazing Saddles" spin off. It was a total steal from Blazing Saddles, as AFAICT, Mel Brooks had zero input (and should have sued the living daylights out of the producers of that pilot). I have heard, though, that Brooks' last foray into TV, the short-lived late '70s ABC show "When Things Were Rotten" (a Robin Hood Spoof that was the basis, I guess, for Men in Tights) was pretty bad, though. But then Mel's had more hits than misses, right? Edited January 28, 2005 by Pat Payne Quote

DVD of Blazing Saddles has Black Bart on it. It's so bad I havn't been able to sit through 5 whole minutes of it. Quote
Wes Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 The way you're talking, we shouldn't have had Macross Plus because Macross 2 was so bad. Quote

Keith Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I sat through the whole damn thing, consider yourself lucky you stopped at 5 minutes... Which reminds me, remember that terrible tv sequel to The Jerk? Quote
