1 VF-1 2NV Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Damn. For that kind of $$$ I can get a real live "plush". Is it really worth it. I mean, come on, it's a stuffed toy. Vf-1S Valk Teddy ! Quote
ychanus Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Yeah, there are always some people with boat loads of money, 6 hundred bucks is like 5 cents to them. However, that plush is very rare, if whoever didn't bid on it, they may never see it again if not ever. Quote
Mechamaniac Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Sorry, but nearly 700 bucks for that, and the auction aint even done yet?!?!?!? The thing looks like the pillows you see kids bringing home from Home Economics class in Junior High. I agree with Ychanus, except I feel that it is a case really of someone having more money than sense. Quote
Dimebug Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 that plush is very rare, i know, i got one it's one of the rarest macross item, but doesn't transform Quote
Roy's Blues Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 that plush is very rare, i know, i got one it's one of the rarest macross item, but doesn't transform At that price it transforms your wallet to empty Quote
McKlown Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 There's no way in hell that's a serious bid, just look at the bidding history. Quote
zeo-mare Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 i do not know if i recall these are worth something so maybe the bids are legit, chris Quote
Knight26 Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Gott im Himmel!!! I agree it is probably the rarest of the rare Macross items, but nearly $700 with two days left, that is nuts. To the members who have them, how much did you pay? Of course I hope to someday find a beat up and abused one, where the stitching has started to go, then take it down and hove someone make patterns from it before repairing it. Imagine, custom Macross VF-1S plushes, lol. Quote
Dimebug Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 i bought mine 5 year ago, i didn't know that was a very rare item, and it was probably the same for the seller... Quote
connor99 Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 (edited) Sure, I'll buy the damn thing.....as soon as I get me that $250 2nd release 1S ROY from Tisinc ! Edited January 14, 2005 by connor99 Quote
Shawn Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Wow-and I thought I was going to pick it up for only $61.50 Egan Loo sniped me (back when we were the 2 big macross ebayers) the first time one of these came up a couple years ago-it sold for around $80. $700?? Jeez That is some dedication S Quote
phatslappy Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Hey Shawn, remember when I sniped you for that macross kite? How silly were we back in those days? Quote
xstoys Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 And I thought I was going to get my "plush Valk" a little brother... guess not. Quote
goldenboy_forever Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Dude 700 is nuts??? I pick mine up for like 80 bucks a few years back on ebay the person posted it as robot plush . So now I'm curious how many people on macross world have this plush? From Rich Quote
newbie Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 Wasn't this auction only open to US bidders? I wonder how much it would have been if it had been international. With a 700 bid, we'll probably see a lot more come out. Quote

dr_vandermeer Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I'm more surprised that these haven't been knocked off. Must be a lot easier than knocking off the Kawamori book, no? Quote
Graham Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 I'd buy a bootleg, but there's no way I'd pay US$700 for an original one of these. US$100 would be my maximum. I just wish somebody would make a VF-17D/S Plush. Graham Quote

Escaflown4 Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Gee look at the bidding history. The guy could have at least done his shill bidding in a less obvious way. I wouldn't have bidded on this auction in the first place since it was rigged. Quote
