Yeah, there are always some people with boat loads of money, 6 hundred bucks is like 5 cents to them. However, that plush is very rare, if whoever didn't bid on it, they may never see it again if not ever.

Sorry, but nearly 700 bucks for that, and the auction aint even done yet?!?!?!?

The thing looks like the pillows you see kids bringing home from Home Economics class in Junior High.

I agree with Ychanus, except I feel that it is a case really of someone having more money than sense.

i do not know if i recall these are worth something so maybe the bids are legit,

Gott im Himmel!!! I agree it is probably the rarest of the rare Macross items, but nearly $700 with two days left, that is nuts. To the members who have them, how much did you pay? Of course I hope to someday find a beat up and abused one, where the stitching has started to go, then take it down and hove someone make patterns from it before repairing it. Imagine, custom Macross VF-1S plushes, lol.

Wow-and I thought I was going to pick it up for only $61.50 :p

Egan Loo sniped me (back when we were the 2 big macross ebayers) the first time one of these came up a couple years ago-it sold for around $80.

$700?? Jeez

That is some dedication

Wasn't this auction only open to US bidders?

I wonder how much it would have been if it had been international.

With a 700 bid, :o we'll probably see a lot more come out. ;)

I agree. :)

I'd buy a bootleg, but there's no way I'd pay US$700 for an original one of these. US$100 would be my maximum.

I just wish somebody would make a VF-17D/S Plush.

I'm more surprised that these haven't been knocked off.

Must be a lot easier than knocking off the Kawamori book, no?

Yeah. How hard would it be to stitch and sew a plush valk? :p
