GRAND CANNON Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 This is great, newbie!! Don't forget to throw some TV hands for those fista-cuffs!! .... and adding a passed-out Zentradi in his skivvies in the back ground would also add to it. Quote

nightmareB4macross Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Newbie, Thanks for the pics. My jaw just dropped when I saw the gerwalk mode... ...now you have force me to do one as well. Amazing custom. I think you can make the pants for this, although it would remind of that old saying. "Hey there big boy. Is that a nosecone in your pocket or are you just happy to see?" Quote
Opus Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 I remember someone made on for a 1/55 also... I remember that. I think it was Rick The Hunter. Quote

wolfx Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Wooah kakizaki you're back! And that uniform looks cool...your own? it's photoshopped... that newbs custom costume! lol. Really? Looks pretty convincing. How is that a Photochop? (compares with noob's pictures) Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Wooah kakizaki you're back! And that uniform looks cool...your own? it's photoshopped... that newbs custom costume! lol. Really? Looks pretty convincing. How is that a Photochop? (compares with noob's pictures) look at the shadow on the ground. If Max was wearing that coat, the shadow would've been bigger. You can see how skinny the shadow is compared to Miriya's Q-rau. Good job on that. Quote
newbie Posted January 14, 2005 Author Posted January 14, 2005 This is great, newbie!! Don't forget to throw some TV hands for those fista-cuffs!! I would like to thank you guys for the kudos especially GRAND CANNON for give me an idea for tv hands. i couldn"t figure out where to find hands that match the tv version. then I realized 1/60 GBP had the right size. so I recasted the hands. what do you think. ps; I should be finished with the final bits on sunday will post more pic Quote
estacado06479 Posted January 15, 2005 Posted January 15, 2005 I remember someone made on for a 1/55 also... I remember that. I think it was Rick The Hunter. yeah it was Rob, I like that its been done in 1/48, thats one of the best parts of the series, or at least, most memorable Quote
dr_vandermeer Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Even better with the TV hands! So cool! Quote
newbie Posted January 17, 2005 Author Posted January 17, 2005 (edited) I have finished the final touches . I changed the cuffs and increased the size of the border at the bottom of the coat to match the as scene on episode. Edited January 17, 2005 by newbie Quote
newbie Posted January 17, 2005 Author Posted January 17, 2005 (edited) It is finally finshed and I will be making 10 more so if you would like to get one pm me. The cost is $55 USD & you get the hat, coat and the tv hands. No tiny figures for the pockets as it would increase the cost way too much. They are 1:87 train figures. NO pants. I haven't figured out how to design the pants so it doesn't look like John holmes is wearing them. See the pic below for the final version. Edited January 17, 2005 by newbie Quote
Wheels Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 That is soooo frickin' awesome, newbie! I wish I can get one, but I'm soooo tight for cash, that I can't spare it. Besides, I don't even have a 1/48 Max, so meh. It's sooooo frickin' awesome, that I had to say it twice! Quote
Knight26 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 1:87? so you're saying there was anime magic at work that shrunk the characters when in his pockets? Quote
Sundown Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 NO pants. I haven't figured out how to design the pants so it doesn't look like John holmes is wearing them. Well, you might not actually have to design full on pants. Seems like leggings that cover the Valk's calves would be enough, since the coat would cover most of the legs. In the shot of Max's VF-1A in gerwalk, it looks like he's only got leggings as well, and not full on pants. -Al Quote
Knight26 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 yeah looking at the pics it appears that he just wearing those knee high boots/leggings. Quote
obakesan Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 (edited) The coat looks great!!! just need those boots / leggings. Well Max probably turned them into leggings by sticking his big Valk foot into them! EDIT: del pic as didnt see prev one posted before doh!. Edited January 18, 2005 by obakesan Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Hey Newbie, Look what I found. The valkyrie never wore pants just leggings. (Click on the small picture right above the VF-1A head) Look ma', no pants. Quote
newbie Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) Hey Newbie,Look what I found. The valkyrie never wore pants just leggings. leggings more like chaps lol I know the price seems a bit high but the work involved and the time it takes to make. also a year of trial and error and a few prototypes later the end result is a coustom made 12" zentraedi jacket for 1/48s that has been a great conversation piece in my collection. I'm going to put a couple of them on ebay so watch for them here is a pix of one my prototypes leding up to my final coustom jacket Edited January 19, 2005 by newbie Quote
