Less than Super Ostrich Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 (edited) Wish I could claim credit for this one, but it should give inspiration to those who bought Ken's (ahem) recast. It's from Neil Prentice who I don't believe is a member here, but is a regular at Starshipmodeler.com, I think. Yep... this thing is awesome. Don't know where he got the decals, but it looks like originals. This kit blows away my version: Edited January 11, 2005 by Less than Super Ostrich Quote
Sweet-1 Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 (edited) That just took the lightning to a new level. WOW, truly awesome work. Has anyone heard from Ken lately? Lonnie Edited January 11, 2005 by Sweet-1 Quote
Myersjessee Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Very very nice work! I do love the decals too!!! Quote
zeo-mare Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 very very nice i like the canopy alot on this one, it definetly stands out., chris Quote
Aurora-7 Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Very nice, indeed. But so is yours, LTSO. Quote
Radd Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Le-sigh, my most favourite of Valkyries. I'd be tempted to try my mediocre modelling skills on a kit, but I really wish someone would release a toy. Quote
Sweet-1 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 How did Neil tint the canopy? Is it future with a drop of food coloring? Quote
connor99 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Absolutely gorgeous!! Wish I had that much skillz ! Quote
UN Spacy Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Excellent modeling work. Wow.....gotta love the beauty of the VF-4. Quote
the white drew carey Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 I like yours more. I don't know what he did with that canopy but it's the frame is too large and "bubbly". Quote
azrhino Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 (edited) The canopy looks the same on each to me. I think the yellow just makes it stand out more. I have to say they are both beautifully done models, but I have one little nit to pick with Neil's. He has the navigation lights backwards. It's still an outstanding job, though. Myersjessee Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 He has the navigation lights backwards. Nice spoting...you are correct sir! Quote
polidread Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 ahm, sirs, where's the correct places/sides to put the navi lights? just in case i have them on my VFGirls drawing, i dont want to make mistakes in coloring them. Quote
Sweet-1 Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Red on left green on right. I had to ask a while back. Lonnie Quote
Lo-pan Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 (edited) Very sweet build. The alternate paint scheme is really nice and adds a bit of color. http://www.future411.com/cinemafictions/gallery/vf4.html I built this a while ago, and posted it to my site, though I'm not too happy with the photos Edited January 13, 2005 by Lo-pan Quote
zeo-mare Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 very nice kit, the YF-21 is not to bad either Quote
Myersjessee Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 "Red, Right Coming" was a little saying I picked up when I flew. It means if you see the red light on the right the plane is coming at you (for night flying...assuming you can see the green...etc) Anyways...if you can remember that you can always figure it out.
