Manji Posted September 18, 2003 Posted September 18, 2003 Wow that is a nice custom job...granted its more or less just a bit of repainting, still it turned out very well... Quote
Montarvillois Posted September 18, 2003 Posted September 18, 2003 Wow these are great, The only concern I have with painting one of my 1/48 if that I fear rubbing off the paint when transforming however I plan to buy a Fast pack set and paint it in low viz colors for sure. Quote
identityno Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 (edited) Oops, this was on the wrong thread. Sorry. —Gregory Scott Edited September 19, 2003 by identityno Quote
Aaron Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 Wow!! I really like all the little details you've added, most impressive indeed Quote
Toonz Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 good! very good indeed! how about some weathering? Quote
Mr March Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 That's fantastic! You work on the micro missiles is very impressive. I feel like painting my FAST Packs now Quote
peter Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 Was the whole thing repainted, or was paint just added? Also, was the whole thing sprayed with dullcote because the plastic doesn't look as shiny as out-of-the-box. Looks awesome... Quote
Agent ONE Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 Awesome!... I really need to get around to mine. Quote
kidkorrupt Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 looks like the green was added, panels, and then a matte coat. looks much better than the stock toy. somone should try it out on an extra 1/48 =D Quote
twinmoons Posted September 19, 2003 Posted September 19, 2003 (edited) That figure was done by Kakizaki on our forums and he pretty much re-painted a 1/48 Max. Of course all the nice clean panel lining was added, even to the armor. The details of the 1/48 and some custom work such as this really blurs the line between toy and model. You might want to ask Kakizaki any specific questions on our forums. I'm not sure if he's a member here. Edited September 19, 2003 by twinmoons Quote

Golden Arms Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 I wish Yamato would show Kakizaki some love as well. Quote
trueblueeyes Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 Nice work! I'd love to know exactly what type of paint and what color green was used. Guess I am going to have to find time to register on Tam's forums and ask the customizer personally. He really did do an incredible job. Quote
lebhead Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 I wish Yamato would show Kakizaki some love as well. ditto. Quote
Rune Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 This has made me decide that I am going to do a little shading on the panel lines. Great custom. Quote

Cdr Fokker Posted September 21, 2003 Posted September 21, 2003 Nice work! I'd love to know exactly what type of paint and what color green was used. I already asked him... check the thread over at the TMP forums for info (second to last post on the first page). Though you should still find time to register on Tam's forums anyway... Quote
