Duke Togo Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Not a very inspiring picture. For some reason it makes me think of a shaggy dog that had a bucket of water dumped on it. Quote
eugimon Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 can't say I like the costume all too much... seems so seventies made for tv movie. Quote
polidread Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Yay for random chick with black rebonded hair, dirty corset, and pop guns! Quote
Mechamaniac Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 UGH, can't they leave just one animated series actually ANIMATED? Besides, if Hollywood likes the artwork of Aeon Flux enough, then the next thing you know, we'll be seeing gayness abound in REIGN - The Motion Picture. Quote
Aegis! Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Mate is she HOT. I have to agree her assets look a bit smaller than they actually are Quote
zeo-mare Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 (edited) i am not to impressed from what I see i would have rather seen Kate Bekinsale or someone play the part, the costume looks like pure crap, does not seem like alot of effort went into designing it. and i agree with Mechamaniac i hope they stay far away from REIGN ewww...absolute gayness edit: by the way what happened to her boobs? she looks flat as a board in these pics Edited December 31, 2004 by zeo-mare Quote
treatment Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 geezus. They made her look alot more like Motoko of the Gits-movie than Aeon herself. Charlize is a hottie, but her Aeon is just atrocious in those promo-pics. Quote
Max Jenius Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Aeon Flux sucks. Charlize is hot. Kate Beckinsdale is hot, but not an action star at all she really sucks in action movies. Quote
MSW Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 Besides, if Hollywood likes the artwork of Aeon Flux enough, then the next thing you know, we'll be seeing gayness abound in REIGN - The Motion Picture. They already have...its called Alexander And yes, the gayness is intentional As for Aeon Flux live-action flick ... I don't really care, just so long as they re-release the original animated series on DVD Quote
Golden Arms Posted December 31, 2004 Posted December 31, 2004 (edited) no thong? that's a disappointment My thoughts exactly. They should have given her the same costume that her character wears in the animation. BTW Charlize doesn't have the biggest mammary glands to start out with. She's average at best. Check out 2 days in the valley when she's wearing that tight white suit. Edited December 31, 2004 by Golden Arms Quote
Feyd-Rautha Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 hopefully these are early test shots... the animation was supurb, with a really off the wall feel too it..even trippy at times! hopefully they can capture some of this juice in: live action.. Quote
ly000001 Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 It's being directed by a female director (specifically, the one who directed "Girlfight", about female boxers), so I would expect very little pandering to male adolescent fantasies. Quote

EXO Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 My god people, it's only one shot... And Aeon Flux was entertaining when it was not a series, but it wasn't that great that it needs it sanctity in tact. Quote
zeo-mare Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 actually there is more than one shot. when you click on the link there are a few more pictures they were not that good either. Quote
EXO Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 I did.. and they looked good to me... Girl fight was a good movie, but I guess you guys wanted Uwe Bol... Quote
Feyd-Rautha Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 i damand the same psychedelic, futuristic feel of the animation gawdammmit!!!!! dont make me angry, ms. female director..you wont like me when im angry!!! Quote
Prada0007 Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 Who ever is making this movie should've realized when watching the show that it can't be made into a movie. Nothing they try will work. That aside all I have to say is ms. theron looks pretty friggin hot in that outfit. Especially with hair covering her eye like that. Quote
yellowlightman Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 Aeon Flux was a cool series, but I don't remember it being particularly amazing. It was cool there was a mature audiences-oriented cartoon on TV, but AF was no epic masterpeice. In my eyes there's not much of a legacy for the movie to "ruin." Girlfight was a good movie, substancially better than the kind of crap directors who get stuck to these kind of movies usually turn out so I have a feeling it'll be "decent." Even if there isn't enough T&A for the sexually-deprived geeks out there. Quote
Sarensaas Posted January 1, 2005 Posted January 1, 2005 I liked the concepts of the original Liquid TV shorts of AF that ran; Peter Chung had a unique approach to the scantily-clad-chick-with-guns idea. I hope they kept him close on this and not just turn it into a Lara Croft sequel. Quote
Warmaker Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Will she die repeatedly during the movie? I recall that in 1/2 the episodes Aeon got killed Quote
Feyd-Rautha Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Will she die repeatedly during the movie?I recall that in 1/2 the episodes Aeon got killed it will be interesting too see if they incorperate this into the film somehow! Quote
Panzer Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 (edited) looks hot to me.. i always thought that chik was more on the curvy side but she looks pretty skinny in those pics. Edited January 2, 2005 by Panzer Quote
Warmaker Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 (edited) Okay, I finally checked the link and looked at the pics. I have no problem right off the bat with Charlize Theron, I liked her alot in other flicks. My problem with her is this: She's wearing too much clothing for Aeon Flux! IIRC, Aeon had a long sleeved (but revealing) top, bikini-esque bottom, and maybe some really high boots. Ah, the childhood memories are sort of coming back. As for Theron being skinny... she's not really, it's just that she doesn't have a huge... rack. Even without a big *rack*, she looked really good in 2 Days in the Valley. Prime Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Will she die repeatedly during the movie?I recall that in 1/2 the episodes Aeon got killed That was South Park, and Kenny was killed in every episode. Quote
Solscud007 Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Where's her boobs go? exactly haha no boobies. Hey I regonize your avatar. its from that German safety video haha so funny!!!! I love the 180 degree line where you see the guy with the ear protectors point of view and you can see that guy in your avatar screaming but because he has the ear protectors it is muffled and then you switch to the screaming guy looking at teh ear protector guy and you can hear the screams. Quote
dr_vandermeer Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Not bad. There's no way they would've gone with the animated outfit. I'll wait and see what the footage looks like. It's not a huge misstep at least. I really enjoyed Aeon Flux, enough the get the (lame) DVD collection. Quote
