Look, nutsqueeze. I have appreciation for Macek's work on Robotech.

I am one of those who as a kid would have never had any exposure

to Macross or Mospeada with out his work and the novels were very

entertaining. That said, most if not all of us Macross Worlders have

umbrage with your buddy's employer because of all the hateful

legal crap they have perpetrated on their own fan base over the last

2 decades to keep us in the dark and yet still produce an inferior product.

My bitch with HG would not be so profound if they had produced their

own product -Cough-Sentinels-Cough- , but no, they fell through on

that as with many of their projects. The only Robotech Product that

I have any longstanding positive feelings about is Paladium's RPG series

and the Robotech Invasion video game because it actually does rock.

Macek and crew need to actually put forth real effort on some new and

original material (Lady Death sure as hell ain't up to muster) and

prove how damned bright he is "again". Because the old whore that is

Robotech is getting pretty damned ugly and tired of being rode.

20 years is enough, now do something to back up the worn out hype.

As for product comparisons:

MPC Series 1: Had to rebuild one and tinker on another to get them right.

MPC Series 2: So far, so good I than k Toynami's people for this not HG.

Yamato 1/48: Superior, but has frequent quality control issues.

Yamato 1/60: Excellent, haven't gotten a bad product yet.

So it's about even, but the Fast-packed 48's are prettier on a shelf beside

my MPC Optimus, that's for certain.

Because of HG all of us have had to pay major mark ups and shipping costs to get the products we want.

To be honest, I know very little about the ops of Harmony Gold, and pricing. I do know a little about entertainment industry business practices, though, and short of contracting with a MAJOR distributor, the cost of Robotech products will always be a little high. That is, until the demand enters the mainstream, and the bulk production and shipping costs can reasonably be lowered. OR quality of the product is dropped. As a fan, it is indeed your right and duty to complain about this, and you probably know much more about their history than I could ever fathom, but compared to every other production, development, and distribution company in Hollywood, HG is far from the evil enterprise you make them out to be.

I commend them for taking a great stride and bringing a diehard fan onto their staff, especially to help assemble a fan outreach effort like Robocon 20. Not only does BoK have a passion for this sort of thing, you should also know that he put together the most financially successful fund raiser in his high school's history... a sci-fi convention, and he was only a junior.

Besides that, he was already a bad ass basket weaver.

I haven't been around much the last several days. Actually believe it or not I slipped in the rain and landed the back of my head on a side walk over a week ago. No kidding. I'm still alive. I didn't think I caused any brain damage with that fall but reading this thread and links connected with it makes me think that I'm suffering some kind of brain damaged induced nightmare.

From what I remember Bank of Kev seemed to have a blind devotion too HG and Robotech. He either wanted to be the biggest suck up in the world or just enjoyed getting others at Macross World up in arms against him. Maybe it was little from colum A and a little from colum B. Now he's working for them? One of there biggest defenders now works for them! That's a laugh. I'm ashamed of you at this site. Why haven't you guys got a job with BW? I mean some of you could be accused of defending BW in the same degree that was seen from Bok.

We had banned BoK because his name was on a list of the most disruptive members . That list included supporters from both sides of the usual conflicts as well other disruptive members. It should come to no surprize why he was on that list. To his credit I did appreciate actions that he took to clear up a comment that he made and included my appreciation in his ban notice.

When we moved to these new forums. We did a little review on the members that we banned on the earlier boards. Here is a brief copy of my review of Bank.

Note that quote didn't come him but was me doing a bad imitiation. I did one for just about everyone in my review but that was summary meant for humor wasn't too far off from the truth. I don't know if he honestly believes half the stuff he was spitting out. A lot of it posted here, there and elsewhere seemed to be designed just to get under the nerves of some people. As far as I know we never re-banned him here. He hasn't posted much here or has gotten into any more conflicts with members of this board on this very board (elsewhere excluded). Why has he done so? I don't know maybe it's not entertaining as it use to be. Seems he'd rather do it on that blog. Fine with me that's a good idea. People in this thread should do the same. Ask BOK to create a feed back section on his blog or what ever and you all can join him. Honestly do we really need to keep talking about him here?

Not all those on Macross World are like Volcanos. I haven't read everyword of your blog but is there need to make generelations about Macross World as a whole now is there? Not every poster on Macross World is an insane supporter of BW that wants HG to die. Some posters on Macross World, Robotech.com are or may one day become a customer of your new employer. Do you want them to see your blog? It could very well turn potential customers of your employer away. Isn't there some rule in business about not saying or doing things that will drive customers away?

It's been a long while since I cracked a Robotech joke and that includes in private. I can't remember when I last bashed it. When you take a some what public position you start to watch what you say in public. Your's is now much bigger with influence. Time for you to get in the habit.
