Mechwolf Posted December 12, 2004 Posted December 12, 2004 I recieved my GFF 13 Deep Striker a week ago. This thing is awsome, but the barrell of the Irish-class beam cannon is a little loose. I'm thinking of applying some claer nail polish to tighten the fit. Is this a safe course of action? Quote
the white drew carey Posted December 13, 2004 Posted December 13, 2004 I haven't used clear nail polish on that particular part, but I use it to tighten the joints on all of my GFFs. No problems for me. Quote
Amped Posted December 14, 2004 Posted December 14, 2004 I recommend using a thin piece of paper or tape cut to fit around the 'male' part of the barrel end.... then twist it into the cavity; it should fit nice and snug and keep the barrel straight. You may haveta experiment with just the right amount of paper/ tape, but it works like a charm... and no need to add any polish. Quote
Mechwolf Posted December 14, 2004 Author Posted December 14, 2004 Thanks guys. I went head & used some clear nail polish & it did the trick. I put just a little on the "male part" & in a few minutes it fit nice & snug. It even fits straight. Thanks again for the advise. Quote

Remember, if you move the joint alot, the nail polish will wear down faster and will need to be reapplied, but if you don't move it much, it should hold for quite a long time. Quote
