hirohawa
I gave Model Masters Light Ghost grey a shot and it is too light. Any one know what type will give me an exact match? Thanks
Solscud007
hmm no idea steve. Maybe you should try a palette. Buy a bunch of colors and paint a swatch onto white cardboard and see which one matches.
Skull Leader
believe it or not, Testors primer gray is almost an exact duplicate of the base color of the low-vis valkyries... I don't know about the blue color used on the tailfins, or what they used for the weathering paint though.

Godzilla
believe it or not, Testors primer gray is almost an exact duplicate of the base color of the low-vis valkyries... I don't know about the blue color used on the tailfins, or what they used for the weathering paint though. Actually that is true. I also found out that USAAF gray from Tamiya works as well. do not disturb
its all trial and error my friends. matching any paint job is hit or miss. if you're planning to paint an entire valk grey, no problem, but matching one little patch is a pain in the butt. as far as matching the blueish paint they used, just mix the grey that you have left with a tiny(i'm tlaking teenie weenie) touch of blue. Godzilla
Hence why you should paint it all or nothing. Matching paint is always a bitch to get...
mechaninac
Testor's Intermidiate blue should be a very close match to the blue gray used in the toy. As for the "smudged" camo areas, it looks like dark ghost grey to me.
Hikuro
From my experince a Low Viz color would be Tamiya's Haze Grey which would be so hella close.
