Evanta Posted November 27, 2004 Posted November 27, 2004 (edited) Will be getting mine tomorrow and checking it out, but has anyone experienced problems like loose joints, stuff that break easily, etc? EDIT: no one has gotten a Roy yet, or opened him up? Edited December 3, 2004 by Evanta Quote
Evanta Posted December 3, 2004 Author Posted December 3, 2004 I got him out, but was lazy to transform him,. Quote
EXO Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 I don't think it's any diff. from the second issue... how's the paint? Quote
Toonz Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 i don't have the second reissue, BUT, in this 3rd reissue, i have a crook skull on the tail fin other than that, the rest are just fine. Quote
Mechamaniac Posted December 3, 2004 Posted December 3, 2004 So, then the rumors of the color variations were indeed false eh? Quote
Evanta Posted December 4, 2004 Author Posted December 4, 2004 the BP8 pic link is broken. Can someone tell me wat it looks lik e? I'm very wary of putting FAST packs on my Fokker for the time being due to this. Quote
aaajin Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 here it is... BP8 pics and in case you broke one...go find a replacement here : BP8 replacement aaajin Quote
zeo-mare Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 i am curious as to the color is it white or the greyish white color. thanks chris Quote
Toonz Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 not much of a difference compare to the first release Quote
Mechamaniac Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 not much of a difference compare to the first release So, you're saying it is a different color? Quote
Toonz Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 no, the base color is the same but because this is a brand new valk, it does give you an impression the color is a little different by maybe 1% or 2%. all because its new. Quote
fearyaks Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 If you lined it up with a 2nd edition, you wouldn't (as far as I can tell by color) be able to tell the difference. Same color to me. Quote
Evanta Posted December 4, 2004 Author Posted December 4, 2004 (edited) Seems like they sold like hot potatoes though. I managed to reserve one, the rest were all sold out by the time I got to pick it up. aaajin, the pics are not showing on my com. You managed to save it on your cache I guess? Any chance you can show me the photo? Many thanks. Edited December 4, 2004 by Evanta Quote

BoBe-Patt Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 ok, for those who are interested in buying some of these, Soze has some left for 140 each. PM him or me if your interested. Quote
cyde01 Posted December 5, 2004 Posted December 5, 2004 i just received a 3rd issue thanks to Neova. Unfortunately, it came with a defect. One of the panels on the right wing was loose and completely unattached to the wing itself. The pic below is literally how it looked with the box still sealed. Of course, Neova is not to blame. I was pretty satisfied with his packing job and the thing shipped really fast (thanks Neova!). Not quite as satisfied with Yamato's QC, though. I've had tab B's break on me and 1/48s with arthritic hips but to be honest, I have been pretty satisfied with Yamato's QC until now. What kinda irked me about this one was that it came like this straight outta the box. Oh well, nothing a little model cement or super glue can't fix. Quote

EXO Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Like Pat said... Soze has had them for a while now. In hand. But now I don't know if he has any left. I pre-ordered mine from Kevin, I'm not sure if he has his yet. Either of these guys are cool US dealers in my book. I think Tam is all sold out. And I belive tisinc had some at F&S, I'm not sure if those are old stock or the new ones. Quote
Godzilla Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Well, Kevin can answer that question. I preordered thru him. Quote
do not disturb Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 (edited) thanks dudes. i also pre-ordered mine from VE. he charged my card last week or something(which is usually the sign when he expecting stuff) but i haven't heard the good word. i'm just hoping Kevin didn't get the shaft from his distributor by only sending him 4 of them. valkyrietestpilot Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 so,these 3rd releases are having issues w/ the bp8 breaking easily or broke upon arrival? i've yet to get a yammie w/ any qc issues, just lucky i guess.you guys must handle your valks like a gorrilla to be breaking that backpack piece.i consider myself rather rough w/ my 1/60 & 1/48 valks & i've yet to break a hip or backpack piece Quote

VALKYRIE-EXCHANGE.COM Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 (edited) My shipment is coming in this weekend but it still has to clear US customs. I expect to ship around 12/15. While I got allocated on my initial order, I have enough coming to fill all preorders. I also had to buy more from another supplier to get extra stock but at a higher price. -Kevin Edited December 6, 2004 by VALKYRIE-EXCHANGE.COM Quote
do not disturb Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 awwwww yeeeahhhh! not that i don't already own a roy, but i need my macross fix....i need it, i'll rob an old lady if i have too, just give me my fix. Quote
Draykov Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Nobody has mentioned it, so I guess I know the answer: Is the pilot the standard DRYL Roy? There were rumors that he'd be in the gray TV flight suit. Quote
EXO Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 standard... I've seen them already. It's exactly the same as the 2nd issue. Quote
do not disturb Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 standard... I've seen them already. It's exactly the same as the 2nd issue. is it atleast one of those cool gummy pilots? or the stiff plastic ones? Quote
EXO Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 (edited) haha... I hate to keep breaking the bad news, but... I didn't open it but it looked like the hard plastic ones. If you guys want TV pilots PM Rohby, he has the mold for them. Edited December 7, 2004 by >EXO< Quote
