bsu legato
Great stuff, Mechleader. You need a FM Slave 1 for your collection!
zeo-mare
very nice i almost got the jedi starfighter but it looked so small.
bsu legato
very nice i almost got the jedi starfighter but it looked so small. It is tiny, but the hyperdrive ring kind of makes up for it. But you might as well buy it, since it looks like there isn't going to be anymore FM Star Wars model in the forseeable future. However, artwork for Ertl's new Revenge of the Sith kits has leaked onto the net! Can you say "New Jedi Starfighter?"

Sarensaas
it looks like there isn't going to be anymore FM Star Wars model in the forseeable future. Yea, it has been a while since the announcement of a new FM SW kit. I really want them to make a Y-wing and a Millenium Falcon. I hope Lucas didn't cancel their deal with them. I thought FM should have done a Y-wing instead of the Slave one kit. I think it would have sold better.

bsu legato
Where? Linky Linky?Graham Since they're all over the net, I'll just repost 'em here for all to enjoy. BTW, I think these aren't actual pics of the models, but are actually renders (probably of the ILM digital models).
bsu legato
And sharp eyed viewers will recognize this beheamoth as the deleted Tank droid from AOTC. It would seem he's been rescued from the cuttign room floor and given a new lease on life.

bsu legato
And just a final note; There's at least two more kits that have not been named yet. Hopefully one of them will be the Republic Gunship, which apparently will be seen again in Sith.

Just read on theforce.net that Code3 will be releasing a Republic Gunship Man, I love the Gunship, but $285 is a big chunk of cash. Have you heard any official news that FM has lost their SW licence or something? Just conjecture, really. With their first 4 kits, they were fairly even spaced apart, and announced well in advance. But since all the delays with Slave 1 and its eventual release, we haven't heard anything from Fine Molds at all. Hopefully they're just taking a breather on the Star Wars kits (they're still a fairly small company) before Revenge hits. Graham
I've also been thinking it's probably because they are a small company, so it takes time to get new kits into production. I also bet that the sales of Slave 1 were not that great (stupid elephant head looking thing IMO), so they maybe choosing their next SW prooject more carefully. Let's hope that they eventually get around to making the Falcon, Y-Wing and Snow Speeder. Oh and of course the Republic Gunship. I'm also a pretty big fan of the AT-TE as well. Clone Troopers and their vehicles rock! Graham

zeo-mare
to be quite honest the new jedi starfighter is ugly, i would not mind a kit of the new X wing style vehicle, yes the Y wing would be cool. the droid tie fighters from episode 1 were not to bad looking either (heck they could even transform into gerwalk mode). and yea that was a scarface reference Tony spent most of the movie either face down in cocaine or killing people (god what a great movie), the snow speeder looks like it is face down in a pile of cocaine as well, so EXO figured it belonged to him
Feyd-Rautha
i really digg the jedi star fighter!!!!!!!!! its just growing on me more and more each time i look at it..its got a creepy, stunted, freekish cooless too it ...irresistable !!!! Graham
The only thing I don't like about the new Jedi Starfighter is the design of the cockpit. I think it would have looked better with a pointy nose cockpit rather than someting that looks like the Millenium Falcon rammed a TIE Fighter up the ass (sorry if that's too graphic) Graham
