Commander McBride Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Looks nice, but needs more UC. I'd play the alpha, but my POS rig isn't up to running HL2. (ti4200....) Quote
Pat S Posted November 21, 2004 Author Posted November 21, 2004 Actually, it looks like its a HL1 mod that uses HL2 source stuff, so you might be able to play it if HL1 plays well on your PC. Quote
F-ZeroOne Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Two things: 1) Valks with beam sabres. Thats going to cause a few arguments. 2) When someone told the RX-93 that they'd "bury you", I don't think it was expecting to be taking it so literally...! Quote
GreenGuy42 Posted November 21, 2004 Posted November 21, 2004 Another... Okay... There's something immensely cool about seeing some poor sap Gundam tanked near such a wonderful example of Macross mecha.... Quote
ZorClone Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 heh, someone beat me to it! This great mod is indeed for the first Half-Life, but the programmers have done amazing things with the engine. They've added all kinds of shaders and lighting effects. They are, however, also doing a Half-Life 2 mod which will be much larger in scope. I've had a lot of fun playing this mod so far, you should all check it out! Flying around with someone's missiles swirling after you while you shoot'em down with the VF's gun is a blast! =) Quote
chrono Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 DAMN! Now this is a sweet MOD! Once I saw a Dessie I was hooked!!! Is that a DeathScythe wannbe I see! Quote
Max Jenius Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Dude, they should do a 3d remake of Metal Warriors for the SNES. Quote
Pat S Posted November 22, 2004 Author Posted November 22, 2004 Metal Warriors, now there's a fun game I didn't think anyone else knew about! Quote
Max Jenius Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Metal Warriors, now there's a fun game I didn't think anyone else knew about! Imagine Drache running around there? Or Spider? Quote

Feyd-Rautha Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 can someone explain this modification process for me...and how it is obtained/used??? thanks much! Quote
Mellow Yellow Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 (edited) It's a mod for Half Life 1. Go here to d/l it: http://www.mechmod.com/ And I dunno if it was lag or what, but I don't think melee weapons hurt the monster at all lol Edited November 23, 2004 by Mellow Yellow Quote
Ladic Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Those graphics look way more advance than HL, is it HL: Source or regular HL? Quote
McKlown Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Don't ask me how, but it's regular Half-Life. Quote
yellowlightman Posted November 23, 2004 Posted November 23, 2004 Don't ask me how, but it's regular Half-Life. Looks like it just uses a blurring filter of some sort. Quote
bsu legato Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Mecha Mod has updated their WEBSITE with some new goodies. There's some new and original mecha up now, and the customization menu looks interesting, although it won't allow you to make changes to the degree that Armored Core would allow. Maybe someday they can implement a system where you can create your own skin. The failed game Soldner had a system where you would "build" your uniform from a selection of fatigues, web gear, and accessories. It would be great if you could do this to create your own mecha, although for gameplay balance you'd have to be restricted to the default performance specs. Oh, and check out the pics of the VF-1J, which I think is an interesting take on the classic Hikaru scheme, a'la DYRL. Quote
