ewilen Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 I'm willing to cut it some slack but...no, since the Spartas is a one person vehicle, there's no comparison with the Abrams machine gunner. In the latter case you have one man out of four-person crew who is sitting in a vulnerable position; if he's injured, he can be rescued by other people sitting in the same vehicle, and the vehicle as a whole isn't placed at risk by his loss. What's this about a "cover"? Quote
ewilen Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Have any sketches or designs of it's helocopter mode? http://southern-cross.ath.cx/tasc-02-scf.htm http://www.artemisgames.com/robotech/Resea...ha/Auroran.html Quote
1st Border Red Devil Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 What's this about a "cover"? HoverTanker at RDF HQ Message Board corrected us as there is no such thing as a cockpit in a tank. Since he is a RL Army tanker, I took the time to correct my usage. So, it has a cover instead of a canopy. Quote
ewilen Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 What I meant was, are you saying that the Spartas got a protective shield/roof/cover/canopy at some point? Quote
Myriad Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 If there is an ep with the cover on, let me know. I can take a screenshot form the DVD. Quote
1st Border Red Devil Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Yea, eps. #54 Mind Games in Robotech, eps. #17 BioPsycher in Super Dimensional Cavalry: Southern Cross. I have caps from the Robotech eps, courtesy of rtsurfer at RDF HQ. Plus a sketch courtesy of Rob Morgenstern.... Quote
robomatt Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 I like the Spartan and the Auroran. They both are extremely cool. They are a nice diversion from the valkries. I love the valkrie design of course. I have wondered to myself if I could scratch build a transfroming aruroran. I don't think I could do as good of a job as some other people but I sure would have fun trying. Quote
