dodiano Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 Would it be possible or is someone working in a way of making the VF-2SS Model Kit fully transformable without having to remove parts of it?? Thanks. Roberto Quote
Skull Leader Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 the concept has been toyed with before, but in the end it was decided that it would be too much hassle for a 1/100 kit... they're just fine the way they are. Quote
Pat S Posted November 7, 2004 Posted November 7, 2004 I thought this had been done already? Oh, you mean with the strike parts on... Hmmm... Well, in case you haven't seen this. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=891&hl= Quote
dodiano Posted November 8, 2004 Author Posted November 8, 2004 Yes saw that thread and I love it!! But still you need to remove parts to transform it although I´ll be more than happy to be able to have my VF-2SS that way!! Roberto Quote
Pat S Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 I thought with those mods it was fully transformable, not parts removal/swapping. Quote
dodiano Posted November 9, 2004 Author Posted November 9, 2004 I think the leg part has still to be removed for transformation!! It will be cool if it could be transformable without removing parts the coolest toy I guess!!! Take care. Roberto Quote
Sam Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 i was actually working on that ages ago but the project got 'lost' admist my Marvel legends customs. Had pics showing the improvised swingbar that folds onto itself using styrene sheets, so there was no need to remove parts, but its quite difficult in that scale to get it strong. Old thread can be found HERE Quote
dodiano Posted November 11, 2004 Author Posted November 11, 2004 Wow!! Those bars you are using for the legs could you post more pics of it?? That´s amazing could there be a way of combining this and our friend Jarrod?? It will make it an amazing Toy!! Roberto Quote
Sam Posted November 12, 2004 Posted November 12, 2004 I will have to try and find it in my garage, but when i do I will take some more pix. One day it will be done... I promise =) Quote
dodiano Posted November 12, 2004 Author Posted November 12, 2004 Hope it can be done soon buddy amazing work you did there buddy!! =) Roberto Quote
Sam Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Hey Roberto, i found the kit and took some more pics, hope this helps =) Quote
Sam Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 heres after pulling the gear forward and flipping the legs inwards. Its kinda rough, but this kits are really quite small, so was best I could do. Quote
dodiano Posted November 13, 2004 Author Posted November 13, 2004 Wow! Looks good man ! You planning to finish that?? I wanna see If I can try it! Although I´m not that good with models as you are you wouldn´t want to sell that one? Roberto Quote
Solscud007 Posted November 13, 2004 Posted November 13, 2004 Wow! Looks good man ! You planning to finish that?? I wanna see If I can try it! Although I´m not that good with models as you are you wouldn´t want to sell that one?Roberto No dont sell it. Jsut recast it. haha Quote
Sam Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 heh, my recasts would resemble LEGO more than my model mate I wish I could do it well, but alas, its not a talent i have learned Quote
dodiano Posted November 15, 2004 Author Posted November 15, 2004 How did you do the part Modification? Could you show it in more detail?? Roberto Quote
Jasonc Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Wow, two MWers who were both doing these kits, and it's a 1/100!!! If you could get that far, you could definitely do the rest with little effort. I think you knocked out the hardest part right there in the legs. Anyways, great work, I was wanting to do this to the few kits I have, now I have ideas. Quote
