buddhafabio Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 i have seen that video of a ufo before but it is still hillarious Quote
ComicKaze Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 (edited) HOW IS THAT THING MANEUVERING??? IT HAS NO CONTROL SURFACES??? How is that thing not spinning out of control and crashing to the ground, and still able to perform Mig-Like acrobatics with nothing but a lawn-mower handle bar? How is it even achieving lift??? Is it rocket propelled or does it have a propeller in the front? How is he stablizing the darn thing? That's insane!!! Could somebody post a link to the RC VF-1 and Enterprise too for that matter? Thanks?> Edited October 23, 2004 by ComicKaze Quote
UN Spacy Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Very smooth flight. That'd be nice if it also cut a little grass. I'd also like to see the link to the Enterprise RC. Quote
Knight26 Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 that was cool, probably just a lifting body flying wing with all those greeblies stuck on. The handle probably also has control or lifting surfaces, all in all very cool to see. Quote
Greyryder Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 If you look close, it's basicaly just a flying wing. I'm sure the sidepanels give it some yaw stability, and I'll bet that the handle does have some control sufaces. Quote
robokochan Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 That thing is friggin' awesome! Just way too cool on so many levels! Rob MN Quote
Prowlus Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 for a minute i thought it was a clever photoshop but then i noticed the side profile's a giant airfoil with mower bits tuck onto it for stability . What i don't get is what his he using for yawing and directional turning Quote
Yohsho Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 lol I always love seeing that mower. I saw the one where a guy is giving it a push start and takes a dive before it gets airborne. Quote
1st Border Red Devil Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Proof positive that you can make a brick fly if you put a powerful enough engine in it..... Funny vid. Quote
Lynx7725 Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Woah. That's the next generation attack craft I guess.. Mount a gun and a few missiles on it and it'll be lethal, I tell ya. :D Wonder how it'll do against a S(ewer) Hornet? Quote
NERV Posted October 24, 2004 Author Posted October 24, 2004 the rc vf-1 and enterprise are somewher ien the fanworks i cant do a search for rc cuz it has to be 4 or more chars Quote
Sumdumgai Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Just finished laughing my ass off right now! Oh man my sides hurt! Imagine what would happen if something like in Maximum Overdrive happened! (Yes that cheesy Steven King movie wih Emilio Estivez or however you spell his name). It needs skull squadron colors. Quote
Wes Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Looks like it's got this elevator-thing in the front. And to think, I got about another 7 people working with me to get this UAV designed for Senoir Design, and someone's doing this... Quote
buddhafabio Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 i found a site that has a flying rc dog house (hint hint) flying rc witch, flying rc american flag. just click and scroll downhttp://www.netaxs.com/~mhmyers/rc.tn.html Quote
NERV Posted October 25, 2004 Author Posted October 25, 2004 (edited) ah the clear pic of the flaying lawnmower on that sight gives sone insight on the lift, and upone clsoer inspection of the video i posted, its is a similar design edit, they got the same video on their site, says it was in Moon Lake's Annual Make-a-Wish Foundation 2004 Airshow Edited October 25, 2004 by NERV Quote
