Noriko Takaya Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 Tetsujin 28-go is one of the very first anime series I can remember watching as a kid growing up in the late 60's-early 70's alongside of Speed Racer. Although it was primarily known as Gigantor, the premise of the story seemed to remain the same although like everything else imported from Japan at the time, it was edited for content as well as names. It just so happens that there is a live action version of this old anime being made. You can see the teaser trailer for it at: http://www.tetsujin28.jp/. The site is in Japanese. And from the look of the picture on the front page, it looks as if there will be a little retro look to the grandpappy of ass-kicking robots. Quote

Gui Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 Is it normal the trailer's in W&B? Otherwise, it looks cool IMO: nice 'atmosphere' Quote
Shmitty Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 I think it's black and white in the trailer for style. And it does turn color at the end so I wouldn't worry about the whole film being b/w, although that would be kinda cool. Quote
Gui Posted October 25, 2004 Posted October 25, 2004 I agree: that could be cool to pay tribute to Gigantor like this Quote
