Valkfan Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 Hello all. I am looking to borrow the Starblazers 1&2 season DVD's for about two weeks. I would of course pay the shipping and handling fees within the US that is. I've been a member of these forums for a long time and am on the straighshooters list, so you can trust me when I say that I just want to borrow them. I've been unable to find a place that rents them and I only want to watch them once, not collect the sets. Can anyone here help me out? Quote
Keith Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 Let's see, at an average retail of say $150 per season set, I honestly don't see many jumping at this (I know I wouldn't). You may just want to check ebay for a listing by some fan who was overtly dissapointed by the disc quality, might be able to pick them up cheap there, then re-sell them. Other than that, I'd reccomend spending $70 & picking up the HK's of the original series. Quote
Mercurial Morpheus Posted October 21, 2004 Posted October 21, 2004 I picked up three videos for free of this, just to check it out. Has Space Battleship Yamato been released over here? I can't remember. Quote
Keith Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 In the late 70's it was edited & dubbed & called "Star Blazers." Quote
Mercurial Morpheus Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 I know that. I'm just curious if an unedited version is available. Quote
Panon Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 I know that. I'm just curious if an unedited version is available. Nope. Only the five Yamato movies are available in their unedited form. Quote
therealfolkblues Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 I know that. I'm just curious if an unedited version is available. As Keith said, if you want it unedited, here you go: http://www.cookiejarvideo.com/catalog/prod...products_id=339 Quote
Mercurial Morpheus Posted October 22, 2004 Posted October 22, 2004 Thanks for the info. I definately woundn't mind seeing Go Lion either. It sucks that so many old shows are still stuck in their cut form. Quote
