NERV Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 i kno it was OT but there are much more OT threads that are still up, like the john ritter thread, also if anyone still has it in their temp internet files cud you send me what ppl reccomened?
SuperOstrich Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 The John Ritter thread was locked the same day it was created. Most OT threads get locked or deleted pretty quick. If it lasts awhile, its most likely it slipped through the cracks. We really try to stay consistent.
JELEINEN Posted September 14, 2003 Posted September 14, 2003 While I think this place suffers from having way too many little boards already, I think having a tangency board would be a good idea. A place for people to ask questions like this, talk about events both personal and public, or simply have discussions that don't necessarily fall under the SF/anime subject. I think keeping it religious/politics free is a must, but giving people a place to be "off topic" would be an asset to the community.
bandit29 Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 I agree an "off topic" forum would be more uesful than say the book or toy reviews forum.
Hurricane29 Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Yeah, a place for people to vent is always needed.
the white drew carey Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 No offense, NERV, but I know you've been around long enough to know that this type of question belongs in Feedback/Questions for the Mods. Sadly, I wrote a lengthy reply listing bands and labels I'd recommend, but I don't have a back up.
MrDisco Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 shouldn't this thread go in the feedback forum?
SuperOstrich Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Crap. I thought I moved it when I replied to it. Whoops. There isn't going to be an off-topic forum guys. Shawn has made it clear this is a Macross board.
Roy Focker Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 I did the deed and I thought the poster would know enough by know that the life span of those topics can be very short.
Agent ONE Posted September 15, 2003 Posted September 15, 2003 Hey Nerv! I too like a sense of community with my MW friends, that is why I hang out here: http://www.valkyrie-exchange.com/cgi-bin/i...8c75;act=SF;f=5 Kinda buggy at the moment though.
NERV Posted September 16, 2003 Author Posted September 16, 2003 No offense, NERV, but I know you've been around long enough to know that this type of question belongs in Feedback/Questions for the Mods. Sadly, I wrote a lengthy reply listing bands and labels I'd recommend, but I don't have a back up. as for this thread, i wasnt even aware that the new forum had a feedback area, the main page was too long to scroll down, too many large areas now, and why delete the thread roy? you couldve just as easily locked it so i could at least see what people had written befor eit got locked
Roy Focker Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 Unless it seems some what important it's not gonna be left for anyone to read. If we just close them a lot people of will just try the same thing.
