yellowlightman Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 Funny video, feel bad for the cosplayers as it's obvious that it was edited to make them look dumb. Nonetheless, passed it along to a friend who wanted to cosplay at this years Anime Expo... Quote

BoBe-Patt Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 (edited) hahaha, funny stuff!!! When does the fanime convention happen and where? Some of the people dressed up I've seen at the anime expo before, so this must be a convention happening in CA. Anybody know? Edited October 6, 2004 by BoBe-Patt Quote

JELEINEN Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 haha that was hilarious cause it is true. Dont these people realize Its not them who have thse powers but the CHARACTER!!!!! I'm sure they do. As has been pointed out, the video is blatantly edited to make them sound dorky. Quote
Agent ONE Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 HAHAHAHA! That video made respect cosplayers more. ??? I mean I thought they were hardcore dorks before, but they have a good sense of humor about it, so I don't think its as bad. Quote

I mean I thought they were hardcore dorks before, but they have a good sense of humor about it, so I don't think its as bad. I don't know what I thought about them before, but I agree with A1 here. Most of the people in the video seem to know that they're doing something goofy and they're just having a good time with it. Quote

Commander McBride Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Man-Faye is done for. He's been banned from every major con on the west coast. Quote
wolfx Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Man-Faye is done for. He's been banned from every major con on the west coast. Really? Awww...that sucks. So much for freedom of expression. Quote
Beware of Blast Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 (edited) Man-Faye is done for. He's been banned from every major con on the west coast. Really? Awww...that sucks. So much for freedom of expression. The goal of any form of positive freedom of expression is for the betterment of all. In Man-faye's terms however, I bet the goal is to be tolchoked and knifed. bsu legato Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Aside from the two at the very end, those were some ugly, silly people. But what was "suspender girl" from, anyway? And how do those things stay put? And add my name to the chorus of those saying "good riddance" to Man-Faye. Freedom of expression is one thing, but Man-Faye and his ilk are merely trying to push people's buttons with his shennanigans. He got what he had coming. Quote
question Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Sorry if this sounds stupid..., but what is or who is Man-Faye and what did he do that he should be banned? Quote
bsu legato Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Sorry if this sounds stupid..., but what is or who is Man-Faye and what did he do that he should be banned? Google is your friend. I think the search results will answer both of your questions. Quote
Jemstone Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 Aside from the two at the very end, those were some ugly, silly people. But what was "suspender girl" from, anyway? And how do those things stay put? Bakuretsu Hunters. A product called "Nylong Dreams Staysput Body adhesive/glue". I'm not making that up. Quote
eugimon Posted October 7, 2004 Posted October 7, 2004 haha. hilarious, thought the guy with the roses behind him was inspired. Quote
Kin Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Lol I posted this in the wrong topic... but anywayz.. My special power is cooking... my mom must have special power!! Quote
Bloodcat Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Cosplayers ARE dorky, and most are attention whores to boot. But if it makes em happy, I mean, rock on. I would almost kill to see Triumph the Insult Comic Dog at an anime con though. It would make his Star Wars episode 2 skit look like small potatoes, especially if he was taught some of the basic anime tropes before hand. (And there are anime fans on Conan's staff..) Blackwulf the Dragonmaster aint got SQUAT on many anime cosplayers. Quote
wolfx Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 haha. hilarious, thought the guy with the roses behind him was inspired. Yeah! That was pretty cool...spinning roses and all. Quote
Beltane70 Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Most of these cosplayers sounded like they barely knew what show their character was from. Most of the cosplayers that I know sound much more knowledgable! Quote
UN Spacy Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 Domo-kun > All. Hahahaha. His explanation was plain and straight foward. EXCELLENT. Quote
