Kamineko
I hardly see any love for the Yammie stand. Well, here is my contribution . . .
Kamineko
Has anyone successfully mounted a Q-Rau to the Yammie stand? Any advice appreciated!
UN Spacy
Aren't your palms sweating when you see your Valkyries hanging like that? From what I've heard it isn't very safe from THAT mounting position. Pretty though. Straight out of DYRL.

Toonz
how did you manage to hang it upside down without breaking the backpack attachment?
VF-19 pilot!!!
that's a good guestion...how?
Skull Leader
wow... that would scare the hell out of me if I walked in and someone had mounted my yammies up like that.... you have far bigger balls than I sir! Excellent display!
Mechamaniac
Yes, please tell us how you got your Valk mounted like that. That will be all the reason I need to go ahead, and get the Yammie stand!
sleddogg83
I could do that with a banpresto or toynami valk but not a Yam. Too scared it would fall.
Kamineko
Its not attached to the backpack . . . The actual mounting interface is inserted under the backpack.
Knight26
Hey good idea, is that point strong enough to hold it for extended periods though?
Kamineko
Hey good idea, is that point strong enough to hold it for extended periods though? It should be, the surface area is essentially the entire back of the Yammie. My goal with this is to be able to get some measurements off this and eventually make the mount actually clamp onto the diecast portion of the 1/48. The one drawback to this setup is that the legs are extremely floppy.
Eternal_D
dang, I like that, could be a real good space saver for my 1/48s
Kamineko
dang, I like that, could be a real good space saver for my 1/48s Hah! Thats my main inspiration. I needed to get it off my desktop.

Kamineko
I just thought of something, waht do you have it hanging from, how is it suspended from that shelf? I took apart the base and drilled a hole in it. I stuck a screw into it thats long enough to go through the shelf which has a bolt on the other end. Toonz
how then, are you going to detach the valk from the stand?
Renato
That looks awesome. The stand should have been designed to display Valks like that in the first place. Although it looks better upside down, or sideways, to make it look more like the movie.

zeo-mare
i love it i think i have to get one of these how then, are you going to detach the valk from the stand? Toonz the bolt is in the base of the yamato stand to keep it hooked to the wall that it is attached to, not the valk itself it looks like the wire simply wraps around the valk and holds it in place and can simply be unhooked. i am definetly liking that
Wabbit
And to be really safe, put a big cushion under it. Permanently.

The stand should have been designed to display Valks like that in the first place.Although it looks better upside down, or sideways, to make it look more like the movie. The joints of the stand are too weak to support the weight of the 1/48 at any extreme angle. I am tempted to glue the stand in a fixed position. You can get it upside down if you just leave it on your desktop . . .
