sleddogg83 Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 I didnt think civilians could own such items. Quote
Knight26 Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Has to be a joke, besides you don't measure aircraft usage in mileage, but in hours that are on the engine and airframe. Besides the Apache is a current usage aircraft in the US arsenal and only rarely do they release anything of the sort for civilian sales. Heck even most museum aircraft are just "on loan." Quote
Zentrandude Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 (edited) you never know just give it time about maybe 30 years they might replace the cobras in quick responce supression of forest fires starting up. i know washington state got 2 of them looks like that but more white, sure beats buying one and a civvie can run it if they have the training. Knight26 Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Nice I know there was some talk in the earl-mid 90's concerning using A-10s as fire tankers, since they would be more responsive, reliable and able to make more percise drops then current tankers. Quote
Macross_Fanboy Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 I once saw a Cobra for sale in a aircraft catalouge for 1 million dollars. Quote
