dr_vandermeer Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 There she is! Thanks for the bigger pic, Toonz. 0Coota0, i agree, it was definitely great that Toynami added the ladder. I even like the light up eye to be honest. I just wish they had paid more attention to detail is all. As it is, it kinda looks like a swimming pool ladder to me. But that's just my opinion. Hear that Yamato? Where's my 1/48 ladder?! Quote
dr_vandermeer Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 And make sure to put it in a box 100 times it's size! Quote
Montarvillois Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 here, big one. HEY !!! WHO ARE YOU CALLING "A BIG ONE" IT'S REAL HARD FOR ME TO STAY SLIM !!!! oh the picture.... Soooooory ! Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 yamato is all about accuracy. VF-1's ladderis actually internal. So they would need to make a opening hatch, an sliding ladder. Quote
ChristopherB Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Hello, Great pictures and ideas! Dioramas are a lot of fun. My idea behind the 1/48 Ultimate Strike Diorama was to make something dynamic. Switch a few parts around via the magnetic connections, and you have a completely different scene. The Club M 1/48 might not be able to transform, but it has a ton of detail, and removeable parts. Here is a picture, you can see the Hasegawa 1/48 scale figures, and none were painted orange: Sincerely, Christopher B) Quote
Godzilla Posted September 16, 2003 Posted September 16, 2003 Nice dio, Chris. I like the details even down to the centerfold pic on the wall. Quote
dr_vandermeer Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 shin_ you're absolutely right, the ladder IS internal. i was just thinking that if you were going to do a ladder, at least make it as cool as the one Montarvillois used from his f14 kit. speaking of which, how cool would that have been if yamato had made a working internal ladder, or at least an add on/clip on that simulated it? and ChristopherB, that diorama kicks much ass. ouch! do you have any other shots? MicronianDevil Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 Awesome dioramas fellas. I really like that Bandai Strike diorama. Quote
SiniStar Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 Are the Hasagawa ground crew sets in scale with the 1/48 valkyries? Quote
Montarvillois Posted September 17, 2003 Posted September 17, 2003 Are the Hasagawa ground crew sets in scale with the 1/48 valkyries? 1/48 = 1/48, yes they are at scale. Quote
hikaru Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 Just finished mine and while I'm finishing the kit I also made my own display base sorry for the crappy pictures I just used a webcam to take the pictures, It's my first built model kit here's the link http://blake.prohosting.com/gambitph/Macro...ross/Index.html Quote

Now I like that a lot man. Good job ! Quote
hikaru Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 I was intending to make a aircraft carrier deck I was surprised that it looked like an elevator used in aircraft carrier. The base is made of illustration board and I colored it using a Tamiya spray-paint and enamel paint was used in coloring the ground crew. Quote
Skull-1 Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 Nice diorama, but why is that hose plugged into the intake fan? I would move it up underneath and on the inside of the leg or something. It doesn't make much sense to have it in the intake.... Quote
rocco_77 Posted October 1, 2003 Posted October 1, 2003 Very nice stuff guys! B) s_i_t_h.... looks like you have your work cut out for you... Would you even be willing to post some screenshots of the modeling done in LightWave? Can't wait to see that thing in progress. Quote

Scream Man Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 Ive always wanted to make a dio for the 1/48s. These ones look great! I wish there was more stuff in the 1/60 scale....its such an annoying scale, there is almost nothing else out there that matches it. Quote
Graham Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Wow, talk about thread necromancy. Resurrecting a thread from 2003! Graham Quote
vlenhoff Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Hey wait a sec... That's not a Low vis, and not a Strike... Cheers! It is a nice display. Now if you could anly include some lights within the display, it would look incredible! Quote
