The thing needs bulking up. Call Agent One to help pump this guy up.

Torch looks like one of the casts from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. :p

Mr Fantastic looks the part.

Invisible Women - HOT STUFF. :D

Hmm, interesting, but I always thought that the Human Torch and Invisible Girl were blonde and much more fair skinned. Also isn't MR Fantastic suppossed to be much older. Now the Thing looks good, much more like the classic Thing, though what is up with his wrist?

Most of this was already discussed when the definitive cast was announced. Yes, Invisible Girl/Woman has always been fair-skinned, blue-eyed, and blonde. And Jessica Alba is none of the above.

FYI, she's really into planes, if you read the article. :) (I don't have the magazine, but parts of it were posted at some of the airplane forums I go to)

The actor playing Mr.Fantastic.. he's the guy who always plays Horatio Hornblower right? "by jove, I've spotted dr.doom off the starboard bow! raise the mainsail!"

I understand that this version is supposed to be a comedy....of all things. If this is true..then the writer, director and producers should all be taken out and shot in the face. No trial...no pleas. Straigh to immediate and brutal execution for ruining The Fantastic Four.

yeah. it's taking this trend of digging up hammy 70's tv shows and making fun of them a little too far. The Green Lantern I thought would make a good comedy cos he's so cheesy in that green outfit, but the FF is still pretty big after all these years. I was looking forward to this, but after looking at the resumes of the leading cast I have dim hopes.

Hey, you're right! I didn't recognize him on that photo at first.

Mr. Fantastic looks far too young IMO.

Graham

You took the words out of my mouth but since Jessica Alba is Invisible Woman, it wouldn't make sense to pair her up with soem old guy. Marvel it out of control.

What's the point of giving Mr. Fantastic grey hair if they're going with the younger version??? Is it Traumatic grey a la Rouge?

ooops fanboy rave....

The director's previous movie was Barbershop, they should do a crossover and call it Mr. Fantasic Cuts.

booooo! hisssss!

:p

You talking about the stupidity with Rogue in X-men? Or you just like the color Rouge? :p

I wandered over to IMDB and the movie is already up.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120667/

The cast list is...intriguing. I am happy that they are chosing "relative" unknowns as opposed to super stars.

Guess we'll have to wait to see it in the theatre.

Hmm, wonder if it will be as funny as the last episode of Venture Bros where they were totally ripping the FF to shreds.

The Thing really doesn't look too bad to me, but I've heard plenty of fanboy bitching already. I guess it really will all come down to how he looks on film, moving, emoting, etc...

The Human Torch looks lame to me simply because I think he should have blond hair... I'm usually not the type to bitch about hair color, height, etc in casting - but he looks quite a bit like Reed and visually that throws me.

Jessica Alba... I'm much more excited to see her in chaps in Sin City, but she fills out a spandex suit like nobody's business. Good casting.

Kelly Carlson is way hot and I totally dig her on Nip/Tuck, but I think she's a bit too... uh, "worldy" to play the Invisible Girl. Kinda hard to go from coked-up Porno chick to all-american hero girl. ;)

I just downloaded the old canned version of the fantastic four movie... in that version doom harldy fights he stands around posing and making bad jokes and Reed takes him out with three punches. If this version isn't better then that I'll... do... something!!!
