Yamato 1/48 VF-1A/S/J Takatoys Custom Stickers Set

Hey guys,

With all this talk of Yamato possibly not making anymore Yamato 1/48s and the 1/48 GPB Amor coming out next year I decided to buy a 1/48 VF-1J Hikaru and some VF-1A/S/J Valkyrie Custom Stickers Set by Takatoys to dress it up :D

Does anyone have any pics of these stickers on their 1/48?

Also, are the original stickers that come with the 1/48s pre-cut?

I am finally glad to be a part of the 1/48 club!

With the GBP Armor coming out next year, I guess the big question is if Takatoys is going to make some custom stickers for the armor. Any word?

Howdy,

Here you go. But there are better around.

Scroll down for better pictures. There's some decent ones of the Max 1J with Takatoys stickers applied.

WOW!!!

I had some time to handle my 1/48 VF-1J and I could not believe how solid it felt in fighter mode. Also, the shape and proportions of the fighter is just beautiful!

I have not had much time to transform it though. I'm working on a 1/48 VF-1S Roy for a friend, but I am looking forward to detailing this baby up!

I knew that once I worked on his 1/48 I would not want to let it go so I went and got one myself.

The sad thing about the 1/48 is the price :( but you do get what you pay for.

I think that this will be one of the last times in a long time I will have two 1/48s under my roof :p

Yeah Dude, It's a great toy but not worth the $. Although I have seven. And if they make more I'll be buying.

Yeah, I know what you guys mean. For something that goes for that price, it should be really poseable and all that, but I bet this has been discussed already in this particular forum :) .

I just got my stickers today from Tmpanime.com

What is the best way to cut them out? I was thinking about using an exacto knife to cut them off the sticker sheet and then use scissors to trim the stickers.

Any ideas?

Do not use scissors. Just stick to exacto knife. A thin ruler can help with the strait lines.

A small pair of scissors works on the Skull Insignias, but it is best to just use the Exacto knife on everything else. ;) And SDFCommander, let's see some pix when yer done :) !
