DOM Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I saw the 1/4000 SDF-1 Resin kit from Yellow Submarine in a small toy store collecting dust and the owner claimed it is an original kit not the recast and will sell it for $360. Does it worth this price for the original kit??? and how can I tell from the box it is original kit and not the recast ??? This kit seems amazingly in detail and would like to make a diorama with it Thanks Quote
Graham Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 This question belongs in the model section, as this is a model not a toy. Moved. Graham Quote
Grayson72 Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I have this kit, I don't know about 360, that seems a bit high maybe 300. You can tell if it is an original if it is in a color printed box that says Yellow Submarine and has a small sticker on it that says Big West. Quote
Skull Leader Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 The kit is very nice (I own it), but anything over $250 seems too much to me. (I paid $150 for mine) Quote
DOM Posted September 15, 2004 Author Posted September 15, 2004 Thanks so much and now I know the owner has marked up almost double the price and that's why it is collecting dust. Quote
007-vf1 Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I also thing $360 is too much. around $250 a bit higher is just fine some times you cna find them lower than $200. Now about the question if it is worth buying; my answer is yes, It should be a must...if you like models that is Quote
