JELEINEN
so why the massive price dcifference netween the scopedog US/japan version? Different markets with different economies.
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0
well ok. The yamato 1/48 was 14800 yen. Retailers sold it for 140$. Now with the scopedog....in japan and US there is almost a 60$ or more price difference. I know they are for different markets but is the US one going to lack stuff that the japanese one has? The reason the retailers charged $140 is because they had to buy the toy from Japan at retail price then re-sell it here. With the Scopedog, Yamato is able to release the toy through the normal distribution channels, so US sellers don't have to pay full retail price and therefore can charge the lower MSRP with no need for Yamato to cut anything from the toy. Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0
SWEET!!!!!!!! So when is the definite release date on our shores for this thihng? It looks awesome~~ and techinically since it does not transform(unlike toycom's escaflowne) perhaps this toy will be AS solid as the giant robo toys toycom came out witha while back. GRAND CANNON
Via Zinc Panic : Yamato advertised intentions to sell two accessory packs for their 1:12 Scopedog ... a Round Mover set and a Parachute Sack set. Also upcoming is a Melkia Solder Type variation of the 1:12 Scopedog. I'm assuming the Melkia-type is the purple color, right?
