well ok. The yamato 1/48 was 14800 yen. Retailers sold it for 140$. Now with the scopedog....in japan and US there is almost a 60$ or more price difference. I know they are for different markets but is the US one going to lack stuff that the japanese one has?

The reason the retailers charged $140 is because they had to buy the toy from Japan at retail price then re-sell it here. With the Scopedog, Yamato is able to release the toy through the normal distribution channels, so US sellers don't have to pay full retail price and therefore can charge the lower MSRP with no need for Yamato to cut anything from the toy.

Via Zinc Panic :

Yamato advertised intentions to sell two accessory packs for their 1:12 Scopedog ...

a Round Mover set and a Parachute Sack set.

Also upcoming is a Melkia Solder Type variation of the 1:12 Scopedog.

I'm assuming the Melkia-type is the purple color, right?

Yep.

Cool. Accessory packs make me want to get one of these all the more. I hope they will do one with some different weapons as well.
